Vern checked everything out. It took 3 months for CR to finally get me a professionaly done job. Glad I'm done with out of town vendors! Never again!!!

The parts are workable now. Vern needs to let everything sit in his engine building room overnight and get to the same room temps before he starts measuring all the clearances. He expects to start building the motor next week. Target to get my bike back is by the end of the month. Cutting it real close for York. If it's not done for that, that'll be another trip ruined due to HD's POS 110 engine!!!! I hope Vern can pull this out, but I won't rush him at this point. None of this is his fault. And I want this motor built right.

We'll see what happens, but I was supposed to have two new bikes built by the beginning of this season. They way it looks right now, I'll be lucky to have one!

Thanks Wayne. I've the utmost confidence in Vern's ability to build a motor. Quickness, however was never his strong suit. And I've learned not to push him. So, I can only hope it's done quickly, but don't necessarily expect that to happen. It's never worth the pain, but a good end result is what I'm after. So we'll see what happens now, while I've learned to endure pain. I might have skinny arms, but I have very "big shoulders"!!!

I ain't got nuthin' that didn't come with a little pain that I don't cherish more than what came easy!! This sounds like a great build on an awesome bike. It will be done and you'll be riding soon enough. Hey if you get both up and running can I borrow one when my 08 SERK starts to spit and goes in the shop this summer??

Thanks Brian. I'm shooting for the end of March, and have a little cushion. But you know how this has been going. I'll be happy when it's done, instead of disappointed when it's not!!!

Unfortunately, we either pay, or deal with HD (which is paying too)!

The second is not a viable option for me. Can't deal with it. The patience I have building a new motor, is much less than needed to deal with HD, dealers, and fixing problems that they don't have or can't. I love this bike and decided to do what I want to get it the way I want it. After all, it ain't Rocket Science!

But if you go the dealer route, I wouldn't let them off the hook either! Hope it gets straightened out in the end for you guys dealing with HD on this.
