On Jul 3 2007, I called and signed up for the Ultra HOG Road Side assistance option ($29.95) knowing I was going cross country and Canada.  It was effective on Jul 6.  On Jul 7, we left our Bike at the HD shop in Billings, MT for a Warrantee repair, rented a car for the weekend and picked up the repaired bike on Tuesday.  Never used the towing coverage.

I had forgotten about the coverage until it was almost too late (you have 60 days to make a claim).  Late in August I submitted a detailed claim for the rental car, gas, meals and hotels for the three days down time due to a warrantee covered item.  Yesterday I received a check for $814.19.

I will renew the coverage next year...

That's not a bad deal for someone that's going to be on the road a lot. Money well spent it definitely paid off for you. :2vrolijk_21:

I just can't see Howie on a Gold Wing. He'd have to quit cursing and shave his goatee. AND start wearing white shirts. It ain't gonna happen. If it does, he ain't my brother no mo.
Yeah! That's just what I wear  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good job of reading and understanding the fine print  :2vrolijk_21: in 2001 I bought the extended warranty from HD, 01 Ultra (remember you could get your money back from them at the end of the term) I paid $750 for the coverage at that time and in the fall of 2005 I got a $750 check in the mail a full refund  ;D , When I asked the dealer if they had the same offer(NO) in june of 06 he laffed and said I was the only person he ever heard of that ever cashed in on that deal  ;D ;D ;D
