Not sure if most follow the Caring Bridge site on Josh but here's Karen's latest post, sorry I have been gone so much and not posting the updates.

Hey everybody,
Josh is up on the treadmill and before Brittany put him there, she wanted to see him get off the floor and onto a chair by himself, and than do it again, but to a standing position!
At home, after Josh and I go through his stretches and exercises on the living room floor, he gets up, by himself, on the sofa fine. But, I had not seen him do either one of these maneuvers. He told me yesterday, that when his tv remote falls between the mattress and wall of his be, he gets down on the floor, and slides under the bed to retrieve it. Than, gets right back up on the bed. This is truly awesome, as, when we left Shepherd, he could not do anything like that.
Brittany barks the orders, and Josh comply's. He got on the bench very swiftly. He had a little more trouble with the standing position, as, she had a clunky mat under his feet. But, after a few tries, he got it. Unbelieveable & Miraculous, is all I can say. And how thankful, in my heart,. I was to witness this.
Joseph Toomey's Nana and I, were discussing not to look at the every day of the boys' recovery. Because, it is in the every day, you don't see the milestones. I have always encouraged Josh, as Joseph's family does him, to look back 6 weeks or so, and see how far they have come. As I have posted before, these injuries heal, on the average of 1mm/month. A snail's pace, at best. KEEP PRAYING, GOD ANSWERS!
We slept well last night, at the Holiday Inn, and upon calling this morning, found out that there still was not a room for us, at the Mac House. I called back awhile later, to let them know, we'll be heading up on Sunday, and she told me, "Oh, we just had someone check out." So, hallelujah, for this! We will head to our "home" after therapy today. Another answered prayer, for us.
I'm heading back to the gym and watch Josh's stepping session. As always, pray for a great week of treadmill progress, and for Chris' knee to heal. He has injured his "ileo tibial band." It's a tendon that connects from the knee down to the ankle, I believe, and really hurts, especially, when running downhill. Chris "classed up" last Friday. This means, he was chosen out of his group to permanently head to Panama City, to continue Diver School. It also means, his liberty has changed and we can't fly him home, for a weekend. He has to stay close to base. Out of his group, there were quite a few that did not make the cut, so thank you for praying for Chris' successful continuation.
Have a great day everybody, God Bless. Karen
