Mine has now 10,000km (6,200miles), and rear cylinder leaking oil from gasket between cylinder and head. Tucson Harley dealer report to factory and will send new cylinder, rings and gaskets, only for rear side. Factory told them uneven machined cylinder surface, so revised new cylinder is on the way. The problem is that I want both cylinders replaced, because could be same idiot that machined same cylinder batch or engine assembly, but Harley only authorized rear side. Also right saddlebag power lock actuator and heated handgrips problems. Parts coming also. I hear like pinging or knocking noise at front, specially at part throttle, but I think is normal  acoustical effect from front fairing design and natural mechanical noises. (I hope I'm right). Also, above 90mph and in curves at lower speeds the bike makes a "side swinging" something like a snake motion. Tires pressure is right (36 front, 40 rear).  I think $40,000 is too much money for poor quality control. Also missing garage door opener kit (both, transmitter and receiver) and XM module, try some dealers and don't solve problem about that missing accesories that my owner's manual says it comes with. May be I'm wrong, or unafortunately I'm not. What do you think, amigos?

Johnny: The dealer here told me the same thing the first time . i told him it funny how it takes 7,000 to 9,000 miles for the machineing prolem to show up . they must think we are all stupid . if it were a machine problem it would have been there all along. the problem is that the two surfaces are moving/ shifting independantly of one another causing the gasket to break seal . this happens from heat ,two masses exspanding at differant rates. it happened years ago with chevy vegas . the motor company will not step up and do the right thing or hasn't so far. they need to reengineer the engine to fix it then recall all 07s with 110's and replace this poorly engineered P.O.S. 110 . I'm on my third rear cylinder and have no faith that this one will do any better than the last. this time they did replace booth front and rear cylinders ( "pressure checked cylinders ")for what good that is ?. but put the same heads back on . they have alot of unresolved issues in this engine (ACR's, oil leaks, mapping out the poping back through the intake, mapping out the dieing between gears (sometimes at hwy speeds),running too lean for a bagger type bikes and over heating the rear cylinders . the bike it self has other issues as well chrome peeling on the turn signal reflectors, the smoked lenses on the turn signals break the tabs every time you have to change the lamp (poor design/design flaw),the paint bubbling on the fairing by the windshield bolts, radio issues , liners in the lowers come apart . as for mine if it leaks again i will turn it over to the lemon law lawyers.

Don, Where have you been taking you're bike to get oil leaks fixed? I live in east Texas and the dealer here has not worked on the new 110s. I've got 10,000 miles on my cvo roadking and the front and rear cylinders are leaking. Thought it might be better if I took it to a shop that has dealt with the oil leaks on the 07s...Skip

If you are asking this Don, my bike is at Fletcher's HD in Clearwater, Fl. The SM has given me the "you are the only 110 problem we have seen" song. My replacement cylinder was due in last week. I got a call about mid week that it was in and the bike should be ready for pickup but the pickup call has never come. I am out of town and not able to go and check it personally. What a mess. I hope HD does come up with a fix sooner rather than later.

kodiak: i have been taking mine to "Red River H-D" Witchita falls. but you might want to take it to "American Eagle H-D" in Corinth Tx. Ask for the tech Randal he is a 110 tech. guys if your dealers are saying they Dont know about the problems in the 07 se 110 then i would tell them pull thier heads out of the hole they have them in or quit lieing to me it is all over the net and in the moco tech line and has been for sometime. they are on thier fourth gasket design . they just keep throwing parts (i.e. cylinders/gaskets and o-rings) at the problem . part of the problem is that most of the se model owners use thier bikes as a display and don't ride them enough in the two years of warranty to see these problems. for some of us that ride them alot see it first hand . i have put over 13k on mine in 1yr . should say 10.5 mo. they have had it the rest, trying to fixing it .

I'm glad to see others are starting to get "Mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore!" too!

Unfortunately, between the Shareholders I mean Moco, and their dealers, you really shouldn't expect much anytime soon. Save the extended w.....ty $$$ and put it into the engine with a good builder! :2vrolijk_21:

Remember, a definition of a moron is to continue to do the same thing over and over the same way, but expect different results! And HD is acting, and treating us like morons with this issue! ;)

Well....................

If Ole Pete had not posted that pic.........

I have been reading about and inspecting my rear cylinder almost since the day I bought my bike. For some reason after seeing Pete's picture above, I decided to take my camera out to my bike and see if I could take a picture in the same area and "see" what I could see up in between there. Let the pictures speak for themselves. I hope they are not too large.

You can see in th first picture that it appears that it has been slowly leaking for a little bit. I would be willing to wager (and I am NOT a betting man) that there are A LOT of these things that leak and people do not know it and will miss it before the warranty expires. Bad thing is (I guess) is I had the tire and extended warranty on this and cancelled it out. I figured that HD wouldn't do me right anyway or keep patching and patching until I did like my first EG and trade it in, or not honor it or fight it because I have a SERT and other things on it.  So why waste the money? Oh well, guess I will be contacting my dealer tomorrow to get my patching started. I am going to really try to get the SW and the SM to check out this site and the threads about this issue so that they can see how many times most have had this "repaired" only to continue to have the problem.
