Instead of doing the reconstruction with one hand on the camera, one hand on the keyboard, one hand on the wrench, and one hand in your wallet, how about setting up a web cam in your shop with a link for us to watch from?  Just a thought.  You've got the interest of 5,000 members here who'd like to see the progression.  Good luck Chuck!

I have tried, unsuccessfully, to do that. I can't get the web server software to recognize my router so I can set up the port forwarding to make it all work. I may go back and have to install my old router and see if the s/w sees that one. I've got a bit of time to play with it. It would be fun to have it set up that way, although you'd all get pretty darn bored watching me tink around and not get anything big accomplished.  :P

Maybe not. Might just be entertaining when it's late at night and you're tired and you do something silly and look at the camera and wonder how many people saw you screw up. :huepfenlol2:

Plus we could all drink beer and watch you work since we can't be there to assist, get tools, or be that extra set of hands when you need somebody to hold a part.

Dang, I wish I was down there helping you re-build that. I'm an old iron worker. I'm damn good with bull pins, hammers, and drills. If it won't go, don't force it, just get a bigger hammer.

Yes. They masked off the outer surface of the swingarm pivot brackets thinking they were actually mating surfaces instead of externally visible. I should get them back soon. Back to waiting. :(

True.  :huepfenlol2: But in this case, they're raw steel and will rust like a mutha. They should be getting them today and they will be going to the front of the line for a do-over. :)

Just set it up on Yahoo.com messenger. This way you can invite only those you want to see it.

I'll look into that. If I can get this camera up and running I can whitelist IPs to make sure to keep the riff raff out. ;)

It's actually pretty easy. And to keep the riif raff out you limit who has access.

I wonder if that would recognize the GeoVision capture card I'm running. :nixweiss:
