I guess I'm just going to have to wait until the Zumo 650 or Zumo 750 comes out. Since the 550 already connects to the XM30 antenna for music and traffic, I'm hoping they soon take it to the next, and very logical, level and add the full XM Weather suite, i.e. NEXRAD Radar.

Until they do that, I'll stick with my 2610 and continue to keep my fingers crossed and check the Garmin site weekly for the new model.

Chuck, I'd still have my 26xx if the thing hadn't died last summer.  After having used the 2820 for a few months now the differences are nice though.

Actually still like the map display on the 26xx a bit better.  The 28xx series can be configured to be nearly as good to view though.  The bluetooth and other bells and whistles are slick though.  More than make up the difference.

That's the obvious connection Gary.  Some of the readers will have a faster transfer rate than a direct connect to the Zumo though.  Since this is Howie we're talking about figured it'd come up eventually....
That's why I was trying to keep it simple. ;) ;D

Zumo 650 550 8gb, 4gb, 26xx, 2810, XM, NexRad, XM30, SD card, SDHC, USB, PC, etc etc etc.

There's just far too many abbreviations on this thread for me to absorb.

Like I'd ever deny that. Everyone knows you measure manhood by how thick your wallet is anyhow.

I use a 4GB card with mine and it works fine. Sometimes the start up time takes longer then others. Not sure why?? If I know I am only gong to be away from the bike for a short time (say lunch or a pit stop) I leave it on battery power when it asks that way I don't have to wait for it to load back up.

I'm doing well with a 1G.  I've used it as an MP3 player, but I think I have what I need in that regard.  Other than that, the ZUMO is awesome.

I've never been able to figure out a way to use my iTunes playlists.  I use MediaMonkey for the MP3's to Zumo.

OK, I'm a dummy.  I just copied songs from my computer to the SD card in the ZUMO and let it handle organizing them.  Works fine, but then, my library is quite small.
