So rather than do any research I headed down to my STIHL dealer and picked up a 4hp BR600 Stihl Backpack blower.

Should work as a bike dryer too.............

Great tool  :2vrolijk_21: I use the Red Maxx equivalent.

I saw you comment about the power at full throttle  --  if you have a nozzle on the end take it off. High MPH discharge is no replacement for volume.

I strongly suggest eye and hearing protection - if you don't  and have a lot of leaves, at the end of the day you will not be able to hear, see or breathe.

I also strongly suggest you do not use it as a bike dryer, all that air coming in the back ................... you will end up sandblasting the bike without even realizing it.

I really do like the Stihl Pro saw I have too.  It has served me well in the mountains cutting trails and getting wood for camp.

I remember the sandblasting warning on another thread when using the big blowers.  Thanks for the tip on the nozzle.

I did get the ear protection and have eye protection as well.  It was easy to see with the motor behind your shoulders it wouldn't take long to mess up your hearing.

The problem with the sandblasting is you really don't notice it until you have done it many times, and then you "see" and say  :zwtf:

Looks kind of like the fork lowers after you have ridden for a year or so on the NJ highways  :wideeyed:

You will be surprised, with that much air "intaking" right behind your back, it will pull debris in from a 360 degree range around your body, hence the reason for good eye protection too.
They do work great though!
