Nope

That's right.  That's why all '00s suck and should be donated to me for proper disposal. ;) ;D

(Proper disposal consists of storage in climate-controlled building for use upon wearing out of the previous unit.)

Grandpadoc

Man, , , it's ok
We rode about 150 today also.
Had 7 bugs and one splash of water. (water on a bike here is no problem, it never rains)

I was just trying to help you before 103T and dOOd got to you.
They can be brutal in their cleaning!

I've never heard of the cracking swingarm deal, either. :nixweiss:  Do you have somewhere you can point us that has some more information on that?

I'm not sure if these links will work or not/

The design on the fairing is a decal.  That might be something worth checking into, but I doubt you could order just the decal . . . you'd probably have to order the whole outter fairing and hard telling if that is still available or not.

The MM fuel injection was a concern of mine before I got my SERG in September of this year.  But, I spoke with a few folks that had some higher-mileage MM bikes and they didn't report any problems, so that alleviated my concern.  I did have to have the cold idle adjusted on mine before I picked it up.  It wanted to idle at about 600 rpm, but everything's been fine since.  I think if you find one that hasn't been dorked with and/or have someone local that knows how to tune them, you should be fine.

And that's what I'll be looking for, and un-dorked, un jack-legged bike.
I hear so many stories of folks who did not have problems. But after all I've been through, I'm real hesitant.

There's no problem with a king tour-pak.  They mount just like the chopped ones do.  Just looks like chit, IMHO, but then folks say the same thing about the king pak on my SEEG. :nixweiss:

I'll probably will just get a plain KingTour Pack, not the Ultra with the large lights. Use it just for touring.

As far as differences between the two years, basically, it's just colors and the '01s have the Thunderstar wheels and engine-turned trim on the cam cover, air cleaner cover, and I think the tank console, as well.  The '01s are just a little "flashier," overall.

No CB's on either one and if you don't like the tour-pak mounted CD player, then you have to deal with cassettes or get a MP3 player of some kind.

I may have to add a CB Radio

These are great bikes and you can't go wrong if you get one, IMHO, whatever year you go with.  I wish I'd have gotten one a long time ago and if I had more $$$s, I'd buy another one or two.  They're that good. :2vrolijk_21:
