Thought it was going to be a tough year when I bought the snow blower, but I had no idea.  We've had 4 foeet this past week at the new place.

Seems like there's been a lot of snow in the north east lately too.

We got another 5  inches of snow Sunday, and another 10 is forecast for tonight/tomorrow.  Even though I have the big John Deere 2 stage snow thrower this is the first winter I have contracted snow removal.  I guess it is a combination of my schedule and age/physical condition - but I seem to have neither the time nor energy to keep up with the snow this winter.  My options were $30 to the guy with the snowplow and shovel or the Howie snowmelting option.  I concluded I can hand over $30 per snowfall till I die and not spend as much as the Howie snowmelting system - at least in my climate anyway.

Yeah, I hear ya. I have contracted out my snow removal duties for the last 10 years. I hate it to the point I don't even want to touch the white chit. I look at it as  only about 8 more garbage days till the first ride.(That sounds better than 8 weeks)

My neighbor is a builder and there's another neighbor down the road that hates the stuff to the point he bought a $52,000.00 CAT thrower and gave the builder access to it for whatever he wants if he keeps the guys driveway cleared.

I'm on the route, so when mine gets deep he swings in before the weekend and clears it.

Sure makes it easier to hit once a day or so with the Honda.  Although the way it has been he's had to do it twice a week or it gets over 2 feet, so when I get there I can take care of the daily foot if it comes.
