We had a high of 72 today here, but it's supposed to get cooler towards the end of the week. Spring will not be as long as it has been getting here. :2vrolijk_21: Good thing we've had some nice rain showers recently to wash all the chemicals off the roads.

Look on the bright side when it gets good for us, it's that much closer to getting good for you. For all practical purposes I would wish that it get better for you before me because I haven't done anything to my bike over the winter. I know you're itching to get back out to see how your upgrade/mods are going to be. :2vrolijk_21:

I appreciate your best wishes - cause you are right on - I can't wait to climb on and see how she runs.  So... we have to devise a plan ... how about a joint coast to coast prayer to the weather gods ... or some such chit...  hmmm watching VH1 classic right now ... there showing a piece about Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil at the crossroads ... whatever it takes I guess ... I suppose that would melt the snow ... right?  :confused5:

I remember getting 20 inches of snow in 10 hours about 6 or 7 years ago when we lived in DC. Of course, my husband was out of town, and we sure did not own a snow blower, I had to go out every hour on the hour to shovel off the step and patio at the back door.  Thank goodness I did.  My dogs sure did not like going to the bathroom when the stepped off the deck and their eyes stuck out of the snow drift like a crocodile.  But they did what they had to do.  My neighbor never shoveled, or even opened her back door for three days.  When she finally tried to get out, she was in a world of hurt, trapped in her house something like that pic Iski posted of the beer fridge, right outside of door.  The snow didn't stop at 20 inches, but it sure made a mark on my memory.

Fortunately, our 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd and our 5 year old Akita think all this snow is just the ticket.  It is hard to get them inside.  We have about an acre fenced in that we turn them loose in.  They sure are sleeping good at night.  The Akita could stand to loose a few pounds.  Leaping thru the drifts trying to keep up with the puppy energy of the Shepherd is just what she needs...

i suppose i could bring this over--

when i'm not running a cat motorgrader to push it off the roads, this is what i run to get rid of the snow.
at work we've been moving snow for about 6-7 weeks now. puts 20 yards in a truck in 42 seconds...
1 425hp cat to run the truck and another 425 cat to run the blower.
