I have never really looked at elapsed time from a comparison perspective or as a tool to see how good a motors run. Hoping some of you have some insight as we all know big numbers are great looking on paper, but they dont mean the bike gets out of its own way despite how good the numbers are, because you have no idea how long it takes to get there.
So my question really revolves around what is a good elapsed time from Wack to max torque or horsepower in a 5th gear pull on a 6 speed or a 4th gear on a 5 speed?
I have asked Cycle Rama to give me a dyno sheet with elapsed time in seconds as well as rpm.
So what elapsed time would you look for a good running street motor considering the comparison is on a dyno jet 250i dyno?
The track is going to yeild a better answer provided the bike hooks up from the launch, but we can save running at the track for another topic if you guys don't mind.
