Thought I would start a new thread about paint concerns SPECIFICALLY on the Copper & Black 105th Anniversary SE Ultra's.
I have read many great things here about how excited everyone is with their new Copper Tops and that's great news!
I viewed my new baby yesterday (11/27) as it arrived at the dealership... Was originally expected on 10/30, so not bad on delay compared to some others. I have now been told that production of all CVO's have now been suspended until Feb. Sorry to hear that for the ones waiting, but sure glad I have mine as I'm planning on some riding soon.

My concern is that the gold leaf pin striping on the tour box (in my humble opinion) is not up to "CVO standards" and was wondering if anyone else feels the same? The gold leaf on the rest of the bike looks great (I think) due to the fact that they did not have to join two ends together anywhere, it simply runs off the end of the fenders, tank, side covers and bags. On the tour pack however it is within the center indented area on the top and they had nowhere to run it off the end, so they attempted to join it together at the front edge of the indented area. Mine is NOT very good. Actually it is horrible with an unsightly overlap at the join that can not only be felt, it can clearly be seen.
Does anyone else have this same concern, and is it a warranty issue???
Thanks for your quick responses as I'm picking up the bike tomorrow or Friday and would like to deal with this concern prior to taking delivery.
Take care & ride safe!
