That is correct but the moco sells it and it has the moco's name all over it and does not mention the third party administrator/insurer.  It clearly states that covered items under the 'engine' category include:  barrels and block; base gasket; headgasket.  So I don't think there should be any question that the repairs would be covered.

On page 6 of the actual contrac booklet:

CNA National Warranty Corporation-Florida
Florida License #60098

Section 11 Definitions
HS Service Center and Administrator,
The organization that WE have retained to provide claim and administrative service....

HD buys these contracts from an underwriter.  Not sure if this is the correct term.

Interesting item I just read

No Deductible Guarantee
No deductible will be charged for any subsequent Breakdown of a covered part which was previously repaired or replaced under and during the term of this contract.

This is good.  They changed my entire motor so that's all covered at no deductible.

Another bad item:
The contract does not cover and it does not apply to:
14.  Your motorcycle if it has been modified with any alterartions to the powertrain, the suspension (including tire and wheel sizes) and /or an exhaust system not approved by HD.
We are all ****ed.  Where's Howie?  Howie?

Thanks for the add'l info.  I currently do not have an extended warranty and no contract to refer to - just the glossy brochure.  As far as modifications go that is again up to the dealer and/or inspector if the xtd warranty company requires an on-site inspection of the failure.  If all you'd done is a/c, pipes and maybe even cams I really don't think it would be an issue unless the dealer made it one, imo.

I was changing the oil on mine today and noticed both the front and rear cylinders seeping oil again. It's not a gusher like before. It's definately damp on both cylinders though. 15,500 miles. Replaced the first time at 8,500 miles.

If any of you have been to the Selling Thread you might know I am considering a 2007 SERK. Anywho, in this consideration period I have read everything I can find out about the 2007 110. I have found so much here and I really trust what is written that started to have second thoughts. My 2003 has been as good as it gets in all regards, I have 11xxx very hard miles and never an issue.
I called the dealer that seviced the 2007 to check inservice date, service history, ect. This is a very large dealer in a large metroplitan erea. The service adviser was very nice and helpful, I spent a good twenty mins. with him, he gave all the info. that I seeked. I decided to bring up the overheating, leaking, and other issues with him. His first response was "O you must be reading the internet". I said yes and had read the info. on MANY sites and Magazine sites. He did not get upset or defensive at all and said that truly he had not seen any issues at all with an 110 engine. He thought maybe people that had overheating problems simple did not ride the bikes hard enough, explaining any harley ridden slowy around town in traffic would over heat. I can not speak to this persons experience or qualifications, I know I have been to this particular dealership before and if I had a wheelborrow fullfo cash in front of me i still could not have gotten a salesperson. I don't know if the service guys are any better or not, but he did take alot of time to answer all my questions..

So what is the end result for me... I am still confused. That RED bike sure is purdy, but my bike sure is a good one.

My only response to that would be...you have a 103" motor, and I'm sure you've ridden it around town a lot.  Has it ever leaked?  I've got 22K on my 06 103, and I've had it in temps of 100 degrees, sitting at a redlight, and it's never leaked (knock on wood).  So I'm not buying his rationale...not saying the guy is intentionaly not being truthful, but is just grabbing at straws.  I would also wonder how many 110's he's seen with some real miles on them.

If you like the red SERK (it IS a beautiful bike, as I've seen at least two of our member's bikes), get it, but just be prepared to have some down time occasionally, buy the extended warranty, and enjoy the bike.  With the new attention being drawn to the issue, and some of the 07's approaching warranty expiration, perhaps HD will be forced at some point to do something about this situation.

Or, buy a set of blank tins, have them painted like you want, store the CVO tins off the gold bike, put a cam and some headwork in the 103, and have the best of all worlds.

David, I try to keep all this in perspective since I really like my bike.  I agree with Terry - if you like the bike get it, enjoy it, get the extended warranty and deal with any issues that may come up.

David, I too am in agreement with both Terry & Jerry. My bike is currently in the shop with leaking heads again. It now has 18,000 miles on her. This will be the third set of gaskets and possibly new heads and or replacement engine. As for riding a bike "hard" or not, ask any member here how "hard" I ride. HogBreath will tell you about riding "hard" through the twisties. My bike is always hot. However... I love my bike. And at this point, I still have one year left on the original warranty and an additional five years. If you like the bike and it is what you want, go for it. Sooner or later these engines will have a fix (hopefully). Until then enjoy it. I remember when I bought my bike there was a thread about how many miles a year you put on your bike. The general attitude was not to worry about resale and low mileage and just enjoy it while you had it. With the image of the 110" engine now tarred, there will be some people that will never add any value to bike with one and say "Oh, it's an '07-'08 with a 110"... didn't they have a bunch of problems?" Again, I say just enjoy it.

Son of a b**ch!! I was so hoping yours would make it! Has ANYONE had a leak that was repaired and made it at least 10,000 miles without another one? 15,000? 20,000?

Make sure they TRY the new -c version of the head gaskets mentioned recently.  All the others have failed in yours.  Have they changed the cylinders?

I checked yesterday with my dealer. No "C" version available. No "B" version either. The only number that came up in their system was 16801-07A.

No confirmation on a new head gasket to go along with the rumors. If anyone can confirm a new gasket, please present the evidence. We're all curious.

Yes, my cylinders have been changed once before. The dealer has told me to pick up the bike while we wait for the "parts" to come in. I'll know more tomorrow when I go down there.

MY DEALER TOLD ME TODAY THAT A "NEW GASKET" IS COMING OUT IN JANUARY.  MY RED JESTER IS IN THE SHOP NOW WAITING ON THIS GASKET.  HE DID NOT HAVE A PART # YET, BUT SAID THE REP SAID IT WAS THE THIRD VERSION FOR THE 110 MOTORS.  THANKS,  SCOTT

Scott,

That seems to coincide with what we're hearing, 16801-07C. I don't know what happened with the "B" gasket as I never heard anything about that one. Maybe this one will be the ticket.

The "B" version would be the third iteration if H-D follows past practice.  The original would be just the numbers, the second would be the "A" version, thus the third would be "B".
