I don't know - it was the same for all three...

Went to the dealer - told them I wanted one and gave them deposit - bike came and I purchased it!..

Went for 100 mile ride to relax-happened up on small HD dealership.  Went in to look around, maybe buy a shirt.  Asked why no one had Screaming Eagle on display-was told all are pre-sold.  Owner of store overheard me ask and inquired why I would ask and if I were interested?  I said sure was interested-would not be asking if I were not.  He advised me that his service manager had one on order but had to back out that morning  due to health concerns.  He said if I wanted the 04 bike and would be willing to put down payment it would be in in 4 weeks.  The rest is history.

Nothing amazing. Actually stumbled into mine by accident. Had no intention of buying one. Originall planned to buy a '96 Bad Boy, but the dealer I was working with sold it out from underneath me. Saw they had an FXR3 at the shop online...and told him to hold it for me. Knew about FXRs and how special they were, but knew nothing about CVO, or FXR2s 3s 4s. Went down and cut the deal. Here's where people get mad..and Naitram I think is the only one who knows this...

I got it for free.  Sorta.

Did endorsements for the dealership. Only paid income tax for the price of the bike. Just pulled the same deal here for an '05 FLHPI Road King with 2600 miles on it.

I may have had to short-sell my house in Boston after losing my job. I may be in debt up to my privates.

But my bikes are owned outright :)

Look how sexy we are!  :nervous:

Who says the bike makes the man?

And yeah...I lost money on that deal....but perceived value is what it was about. I was cool with the deal. The dealer was happy. Win-win.

i first saw the blue 04 SEEG at Daytona at biketoberfest in Oct.03 and fell in love with it right then and there,,,  it was in the showroom at Daytona Harley and looked perfect.. had everything that i could want, except for the tour pack, that i got over right away. I had an 03 EG classic and didnt see a reason to fall too much in love, mine was only 6 months old at the time. I always did notice every one i saw because i couldn't help myself.  The big dealer in south fla was asking 6000.00 over msrp and couldn't really justify that one.  In June of '04 I just happened to be in the Cleveland ,Ohio area for a work seminar. Just before dinner the second night I started calling every HD store i could find in the yellow pages. On the last try, maybe 8 calls, I found a dealer in Mantua that had one.  It was the blue one that i really loved. I had to really sweet talk the owner of the dealership into selling me that bike, She wasnt crazy about me being from out of town knowing she'd never see the bike for service. So after an hour of begging, she did sell me the bike for msrp. I never was so grateful to force someone to take 30 grand from me,but she finally did.   The next morning I was off to pick up my new SE.  The taxi ride took 1 hour and we finally found the dealership and there i saw my new prize. It looked soo nice too. So after signing all the paperwork and buying new helmet and jacket, I proceeded to the local Walmart. There I bought 3 pair jeans,a pack of underwear,socks,3 t-shirts,and a rain suit. After loading up the bike I was ready for my journey home. I did have to ask where the nearest interstate was, that was I-77. I was told it dumped you off in S. Carolina,  close enough for me! I did get almost 5 hrs of riding in the first day.  New bike,, had to break it in right and the rains showed up. So at about 8 pm I found a tiny motel somewhere in West Virginia. Took a well deserved shower and went to bed with the bike right out the door. The next morning I headed back out on the road. The weather cleared up and i was ready to make some time. Had a great ride all through the rest of W.Va., Virginia,N.Carolina,S.Carolina,and Georgia. A few stops for lunch and gas and that's it. Just as I was ready to enter Fla.,the rains came again. Time for my new rain gear. It did rain really hard and by the time i saw Jax., I figued it was time to stop. 600 miles. Not too bad in one day. So i did find a Comfort Suites and some dinner. The next morning i awoke to a beautiful sunny day and headed back onto I-95 south toward Boca Raton. The rest of my ride was relaxing and uneventful and i was home by 1 pm. Great ride on such a great bike. 1230 miles and my SE was broken in just like i wanted it. I'll never forget it.
