My friend on the site, d-roc has a SERK 2.  I luv this bike, but never paid much attention to the Screamin' Eagle part of HD product line.  My 1st bike was a 05 dyna LR.  The more we talked shop about SE stuff, the more I wanted IN!  I went into Heritage HD in Concord NH and saw the 07 FXDSE on the show stand.  I was in awe.  I never really thought about owning it.  Until I was waking up in the middle night, couldn't sleep well.  Was day dreamin' @ work.  110cu.!  All that Chrome!  The wheels!  I consider myself lucky, because 3 weeks later it was still there.  I feel like a million bucks owning & riding it.

I had been riding a '97 Sportster 1200 custom for 2 years. I had mentioned to the wife that I would be interested in buying a new a new Harley, so she said "start checking in to it". I went on line & started looking at alot of different models, test rode some, talked to my friends and got their opinions, ect. I was on the website looking at a deuce and clicked on "customize", the screen went to to the CVO site-That damn FXDSE '07 looked sooo good, and it really didn't seem to unreasonably priced (in a dream state of mind-I live in my own little world, which is nice 'cause everyone knows and loves me there...). I talked to the wife about pricing for a stock bike & the mods that would need to make it "mine", as opposed to the Dyna Screaming Eagle that is the perfect starter kit. The deal was I needed to sell my Sportster for a specified amount of money. I began a campaign to sell it in late August, put money down on the Dyna and began to pray that it would sell for what was requested before the Dyna came in. Long story short, overabundance of bikes on the market and wrong time of year meant that I could not sell for the price needed.
I got a call from the dealership in late November of '06 saying the bike would be in the first week of December. I began relenting to the fact that it would not be mine. As I talked to my wife on the friday it arrived, I told her I really didn't need that bike, and that as long as I had her I had everything I ever wanted or needed. Sunday night she asked if I was too disappointed that I coudn't get the bike, and I said no. Monday, she got home from work really late and we sat and talked for a half an hour, she again asked if I was disappointed. Then she handed me a card that played "our song"...I was so touched! Then she handed me a box all wrapped up, I opened it and inside was a smaller box. I was thinking "wow, she got me one of those leather hair wrap things and a model of the bike, cool"! The small box had the collectors FXDSE key in it, I still thought it was just a key and a model. Then she asked me to look at the stuff under the wrapping in the bigger box, it was the owners manual, service info, ect. She had gone to the dealer, made a trade in deal and set up the payments. All I had to do was go to the dealer the next day with my trade-in & pick up "MY BABY"...it has been true love ever since! God bless the missus for all she has done...I love her so much!
I have attached a photo of our wedding on board the Princess cruise line. It is another story all together how we met-one of those God given moments that read like a fairy tale. Ride on my friends!

In '04 my wife and I moved into a house we had just built.  For the past 11 years or so I had been racing Kawasaki dragbikes on the IDBA and PROSTAR circuits.  During the house build I had taken off racing and kind of decided I didn't miss all the traveling, driving, and costs of keeping a 7 second dragbike running.  I told my better half I was going to sell everything and buy some sort of cruiser.  So when the day came to buy I chose a 04 BigDog Pitbull.  Rode that for about a year and a half and started thinking I need something a little more comfortable for the wife. (suction cup seat on hard tail wasn't real pleasant for her).  We had a little vacation in Vegas and I rented a Roadking, and I was hooked.  Got home from Vegas, sold the Bigdog and bought a 06 Roadking standard.  Did the chrome, pipes, AC, and EFI controller but wasn't ever completely happy.  Started thinking about an Ultra, was looking at them at bike nights, and then it happened, we saw a SE Ultra.  So this past summer I sold the Roadking, and came across and 06 autumn haze with 6k miles and a few extra goodies.  First day it was in the trader I went and bought it and I couldn't be happier.  This is definately the bike for me, of course it's going to need a little tweaking to make it perfect.  Just bought Twolanes Rinehart TDs, gonna roll my own, and have it dynoed with the SERT in early spring.  Already have the Pikeville HOG rally and Sturgis in the works for this year.

Absolutely fantastic stories of Life, Love, Lust and Faith.  Great to hear these fantastic stories. No wonder these bikes are in our souls and not just in the garage.

Back in November 07 I was in the market for a Lowrider or a Dynawide glide.
Bought the used lowrider and keep walking past the CVO FXSTSSE2 Copper gold and black Springer. I couldn't get that bike outta my head. was thinking that bike is just out of my league. Kept thinking and thinking. That inner Voice we all have said it was a good thing. Finally, I said to myself, Self, that is a Bad a$$ bike and a springer to boot. will hold it's value and just had to have it. LOL!!!
Brought it home on Jan 19TH 08

I decided it was time to get rid of the 2003 Ultra and had always wanted the 2005 CVO Electra Glide in Yellow.  Friends BT and Starbuck (members of this site) had the teal and red so I figured I would go with the yellow so we could have a matched set.  Anyway started looking and found one for sale in Joplin MI by our good friend TwoLane.  Made the deal and flew into Kansas City to pick it up for the ride home.  This was in October and man was it cold.  Don was good enough to trailer up to Kansas City from Joplin.  I love this bike and am now trying to decide if I am going to colour match my Bushtec trailer to tow or just sell it.

Cheers, CVOMOE

Back in 04 I had a 2003 FLHPi and worked for the local dealer and we were co- hosting the first Doncaster custom show with local custom builder Polar Cycles at Doncaster racecourse and we had a large stand with a few new bikes on and one used B/O SEEG, at the end of the weekend we started taking the bikes back to the dealership in the van, and just was'nt comfortable with transporting that SEEG in the van,so I said I would ride it the 2 miles back to the shop, BIG mistake. As soon as I set off I just KNEW I had to have one of those. Months went past and the thought of a SEEG had subsided until we had a green SEEG in the showroom. Now this green SEEG was'nt our allocation, it was our other shops SEEG as they could'nt sell it so they shipped it to us to sell. Now I was staring at this thing every day, baring in mind I was the salesman there and it was chewing away at me, so I decided to sell the cop bike and buy this green SEEG (you following this). Now our shops allocation was for a YELLOW SEEG but it had long been reserved for, that is until the guy came in the shop with his wife, and she told him she preferred the green one so asked me if I would swap onto the yellow SEEG (that was still 3 weeks away) so I thought about it for a nano-second and shook his hand and delivered him the green SEEG later that week. A week later my yellow SEEG aka the CUSTARDGLIDE turned up and the rest is history. We've been to IRELAND, ST TROPEZ, FUENGIROLA and in 06 I shipped to MILWAUKEE and rode it to STURGIS ;D Hope I did'nt bore you too much :bananarock: :bananarock: :bananarock:

No one is bored listening to any of these great stories.  They are what makes our bikes special to us, and so the sharing makes them special to the collective.  They are indeed special, each and every one. I love mine more today that I could have even thought was possible  :-*----- Oh My---- It has already been three years.
