You ignored him, Myles, Andy and I smiled and waved. :huepfenlol2:

Hoist, we had to have somebody from the area (Myles) educate us to how it's done.  I was actually shocked but I'll never forget the look on the guard's face as Andy (in front of me thirth feet) went by him. ;D

Well, now we know the deal. I'll just have to get back there and try it again. This time with Cybil! ;)

still a butthead

Oh man........that's sure not riding weather. ???

Ya know, kind of hard to believe but the deepest annual snow fall in the continental US is just 80 miles east of here (Sacramento), up at Sugar Bowl.  Sugar Bowl is just a few miles from Squaw Valley where the US winter olypics was held years ago.  But my point is that it's just amazing that we have that kind of weather 80 miles to the east and the ocean 80 miles to the west.

Looking forward to seeing everybody this weekend, at the Easyriders Bike Show.

Thanks for the pics Ernie & company.  :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21:

Post Ranch Inn is a REALLY deluxe place, as good as you can get probably and the room start at like $500 a night and run up to $2K I think. Of course there may be a CVO discount  :huepfenjump3:

Really, really nice.

That is good and bad about the 17 mile strip with the ocean and mansion view.
  • Good for the owners - who wants all the looky lous riding up and down your front yard, and all the bad that that breeds.
  • Bad in that more people can not share in that spectacular view, and from what you have shared, the views are spectacular.

At Thanksgiving we were in Daytona Beach visiting family and we were driving the main street and it was heartbreaking that they have finally completely obstructed the view of the water from the street.  There are buildings of course, but you used to be able to see the water around them. Now there are fences every where a building is not.  Seems not fair to rob everyone of even a postage stamp view of what nature has for us.

I totally agree MrsWe.  It's happening everywhere on the Coast....pretty soon only a select few will have access to our coastal waters as there are very few public access areas left on the East Coast.  And those few are will not survive long as the 'developers' continue to buy up the farmland.  Maybe 'mother nature' will see fit to offer up some 'changes' in the way this is being closed off to the public. :(  spyder

We have em slide off in the ocean every year.  I don't understand it.......they turn around and build them right back there again. :nixweiss:

I think it's because they 'can'.   And, the fact that up until recently, insurance has been available......maybe that's all changing and the next 'clean-the-coast-up-of-all-the-stick-condos-storms' will not have so many built back as soon.  Would be nice to have more public access to Mother Ocean.  :) har!  :drink: spyder
