Did this one, and can't remember details, but the original instruction were wrong. Also requires a bit of speed when you do it. I copied the corrected instruction and placed it somewhere. I will try to locate it if you do not find the correct method first.

That would be great.  If I get the correct instruction from dealer, I'll post it.

I remember the thread Travis mentioned, but none of the obvious things to search for it are bringing it up. Sorry. :(

Wow, if Gary can't find it, it is lost.  My memory (which is right about as often as the weatherman's forecasts) recalls it being in the SERK board, but I couldn't find it either.  The instructions in my owners manual actually worked, if I can remember (see statement above) I will post them tomorrow.

The instructions in my manual worked. I've changed the code several times and turned the alarm on & off as well. What I can't seem to get to work is going from silent mode to chirp mode when the alarm is activated. I'd give the directions here, but my manual is several miles away right now!

Well, just got back from dealer.  They tried to reset it for me and couldn't.  It looks like the speedo is bad and computer can not connect to it and doesn't communicated with ISS.
They ordered a new one for me and said this is the third one in a month (only SEs) they are replacing.  :nixweiss:

Thanks everyone for all the notes and I'm sure if you guys post the instruction, it will help other people.

Not too surprising.  Before all the engine issues, bad speedos was the number one issue with '07 SERKs.  I think most of us from the board are on at least our second one.

Engine yes, tranny yes, speedo-original (priceless)
Disarming the alarm is something that should be practiced, in the dark, after a few beers.  I keep the instruction card in my wallet.

Going into service mode or transport mode can come in handy also.

Well, They changed the speedo today and I was able to reset my security code, great, yes?  Not so great.
The bike has 600 miles on it and the idiot junior mechanic scratched my gas tank  :zwtf:
I'm going to try some polish, but it looks deep enough that I don't think it'll work.  It p$%$% me off.
While there, they found a bad speedo on another bike.  I bet you have the same problem Lucky.
