Yes, as I said earlier I had troubles out of the clock and the CD player.  The dealer did the software upgrade and that took care of the clock problem but not the CD intermittently turning off so they are doing the complete head unit swap.

That is great that they are giving you a brand new stereo!  Do you  what they had to do with the software upgrade? I  wonder if its just a cd they put into the unit?

Make sure you've got a good quality CD to burn to.  I started with CompUSA cd's, but the radio won't read off one of those.  Had to use a Memorex CD which it does just fine with.  Follow the directions.  It will sometimes seem like it takes a LONG time to go from step to step.  Just think MOCO.  Hell, they're building bikes with technology from 1903, how advanced do you think their computers are?????  (Think abacus).

OK.... I MESSED UP SOME HOW..  I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS. SAW MY FIRMWARE WAS OLD... GOT TO THE POINT WHERE YOU PUT IN THE CD I MADE AND IT SAYS READING CD OR SOMETHING.  THE INSTRUCTIONS SAID IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 7 MINUTES THE STEREO WOULD RESTART TWICE.   WELL MINE WAS READING THE CD FOR LIKE 35 MINUTES AND NEVER RESTARTED NOW I CANT EVEN GET THE CD OUT...

CRAP....  NOW WHAT?

If the CD appears Jammed or will not eject, Turn OFF the Radio, and turn ing to off, and pull the MAIX_FUSE and wait 5 minutes before replaceing the maix-fuse , Try ejecting the CD agin once the power has been restored

You need to make the cd per the instructions HFS/ISP 9660 Set your record speed down to 8 or less. Lastest Version 8.19

As you sit on the bike under your left leg, Remove the Side cover, Also Look in your owners manual and it will show you more info on the MAXI-Fuse.

If you are unable to make a cd (PM) me with your mailing info and I'll send one to you with the instructions.

Very important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAKE SURE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED!!!

Battery voltage has been critical in the success of the software download process.

I will not do one until the green light on a battery tender is showing!

The CD has to be burned on a slow setting in order for this to work also.
