Very important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAKE SURE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED!!!

Battery voltage has been critical in the success of the software download process.

I will not do one until the green light on a battery tender is showing! The CD has to be burned on a slow setting in order for this to work also.

Brad

When you have the Battery Tender Connected and it is in Float mode (green light) You Should disconnect the tender before turning the Key on. It is possible to Damage the Tender (blow it) and possibly your electrical system as well. Just as a precaution Remove the tender -It is connect to live AC and if your tender has been damage (unknowingly) it could feed Highvoltage into your battery and cause an explosion-- Again has not happened to me but just do it as a Precaution, One less thing to go wrong in a big way.

I though the tender was 'fail safe' and would not allow voltage in case it failed.  :nixweiss:

That's why you need to unplug the 12V Cord Connected to the battery first--Then unplug the tender-- Nothing is 100% fail safe, To connect tender Plug 12V cord into the battery then plug the Tender into AC.

The tender is subject to your Electric power Grid--spikes, total loss of AC (power failure) over time (wear) anything can happen.

Having your tender Connected while starting you bike orhaving the ACC on can cause Electri problems not only to the bike but the tender it's self, It's only intended design is to "maintain" a Storage battery.

Treating your tender in this manner might make it "fail Safe" however  whatever you do or are doing is okay with me because I won't be near it if something does go wrong. ;D
