Jim,

Is this part number the entire tail light, turn signal and bracket? or can I just but the bracket?

h-d mikey

I JUST went though this. The number above is just the bar, no light sockets, no license plate light. I removed the sockets from my stock bar and used those. I had also ordered the license plate light to go into the bar. 69353-05.

Actually the HD Part # 53702-04A Includes light bar and license plate light assy and all wiring and bulbs. I did swap out the tail light bulbs and covers that were original on my bike because of the color difference. it also comes with the license plate frame that bolts to bottom of light bar. I did not use and installed the Kuryakyn Part # 3163 curved license plate frame holder. It also comes with an emblem that bolts over unused holes in original equipment license plate bar if you do not remove. It was about an hour job total for lightbar and license plate frame instalation.

Oops, you're right. That's the kit. I bought the individual bar since I had the sockets from the stock bar. It was cheaper that way.

I know I paid more for the kit and scraped half the pieces but it looked easier than ordering the parts seperatly, and my dealer stocked the kit with a 20% discount.

20% at a local dealer is a great thing. I don't have that here. :(

Hey Jim, What did you do with the amp?  Did you find a place to relocate it or just run the radio without it?  On my previous FLHTC, I was able to relocate it under the fairing, but the radio, nav, and xm pieces don't look like they leave enough room.

I was considering doing the same with my new one but the amp really made a difference on the old one.

Looks real nice anyway.

What did you do with the antennas?  Specifically the CB?

The CB antenna is wraped up under the seat and I can hook it up when I put the tour pack on if I want. I normally ride by myself and really have no need for CB, actually I have never used it. On the radio side I put a Dakota powered antenna under the fairing and it works pretty good. Most of my listening is with XM radio, its great listen to the same channell all day long if I want.

Don't forget about using an IPod, we use ours more then the FM or XM. Nice to have the ability to choose between all three too!

Jim

There are a bunch of aftermarket handlebar mounts. I did have mine in a padded lower but now have speakers in there so it goes in one of windshield pouches. We did have to switch to the nanos a while back because the older hard drives in the 60GB and 30GB kept locking up, even with 2" padding surrounding them. I will be switching to a handle bar mount in summer so I can access it easily. In winter I like to keep it out of the elements and the gloves are too bulky to use the controls anyway. Connecting cords are available in different legnths at radio shack, etc..
