LOL, Gary!  I thought I'd approach the SERG the same way.  Used bike, not as much chrome as the SEEG, don't need to worry about keeping it clean all the time, just ride it.  Hahahahahaha!  That lasted about a week! ;D

What!!! No way!!! :shocked2: I can't believe that thought even entered your mind when it came to another SE. You're probably right in my case also. I would keep it clean, but I would hope it wouldn't bother me as much to take it out locally if there was a chance of inclement weather. :nixweiss: When I'm travelling on the :pumpkin: I could care less about getting caught in the rain, matter fact I expect it. If the ability or the need arises while traveling I'll give it a quick bath and wait until I get home for a full detail.

I love the concept, as the others have said as a second bike......however, it looks like a new style softtail rear ended an old school springer. I'd put a Rocker rear fender on it upon delivery and change the bars out.

Threw a leg over it at the Int. Mot. show in Cleveland yesterday and really liked it. The flat black looked good on the tins w/ understated pin striping, the mini apes worked (probably would of gone w/ higher ones), seating position was fine, all in all, for an around towner I'd strongly consider it.
Didn't like all the glossy black though. Frame, horn, hardware up front, etc. are all glossy. Would need to deal w/ that when making my own.

My sencond last HD had a blacked out motor... it was very difficult to keep clean.

The coating wasn't smooth, it attracted dust like crazy, and if I didn't spray this S100 stuff that was $10 per small can on it, it would always have a brownish tint.

Even when you wiped it down, the rough coating would pick up the fibers from the cloth!

You wanna talk about PIA?

Never again!!!

local dealer got one in this morning. had it on the showroom floor by 2pm

nice bike,  but you better be tall.  at 5' 8", its a softtail,  but I was playin tippy toe while sittin on it.

put a different seat on it and it would be fine.  the seat just doesn't look right. :nixweiss:

Went to North Texas Harley (in Dallas, TX) and they had a new Cross Bones up on the lift working on it. LOTS of customers went back in the shop and gawked at it..........they also had a Rocker that was getting some attention.  In addition they had either a 2005 or 2006 CVO Ultra that was blue and had every possible light on it (lighted turnsignals in the rear view mirrors and a led bar on top of the leather tourpak).  They also had a 2007 Black and orange CVO Ultra...had around 10,000 miles on it and they were asking $29995.

I saw all this because it took them two hours to mount a rear tire on my 2006..........

I saw two of these in black at easy riders show today in Memphis.
I liked the look of it more than I thought I would, loved the front wheel and tire. Two dealers had
one each. I asked what the price was and was told $24,000.00. I asked if that was the msrp.
He said that the msrp was 18 or 19 but it was " limited production " so the price was higher.
At that price I hope he sits on it for a year. This is total BS and if anyone buys it they have
a serious case of large dollars and no common sense. IMO. :soapbox:

I like this bike - - - - - - - BUT    It needs a set of Paul Yaffee X-Pipes, a bigger headlight, less chrome and some big fat handlebars. The 1" bars are too skinny for the front end. BUT  amazingly, the seat works. Even for a big guy like me. It did not bottom out.

 So now I want one

 shhhhhh don't tell Beagle
