The bike DEFINately looks better in person that it does in pictures. Didnt like the pic of it at all--- it looked like they threw together some left over pieces of about 5 different bikes from the corner of the factory to make it, buuut I actually like the way it looked in person!!

It does look pretty cheesy on the gloss black bike.

Was looking at one Sunday on the dealer showroom floor. I like it, I agree it does look much better in person.

It's not bad, but when you see someone sitting on it they look like they're sitting to high, it's a soft tail, the seat doesn't need that much height. Also I think the front end needs a couple of degrees more rake, the pipes would have to go too.

I really liked the look of the bike and the spring seat on the X-Bones from the pictures, but when I saw it in person it didn't work. Looking from the rear of the X-Bones, the seat looked too wide and did not flow with the lines of the bike. The plastic piece below the seat looked cheap. The handlebars were too skinny - the bike definitely needs thicker bars and the bobtail rear fender doesn't work. I wasn't too impressed with the overall look or feel of the bike.

Couldn't agree more.  It was one of the first things my eyes were drawn to.  The only rational explanation is that the MoCo knows it looks likt chit, too, and will be offering some P&A pieces to either eliminate or dress it up ($$$$$$$).

That has been part of the business plan for years.  Make parts of the bikes butt fugly and offer a catalog as thick as a big city phone book to correct the butt fuglyness.  This in turn created an entire aftermarket business to correct the built in fugly!

I got a chance to see the Cross Bones at an MC show on Sunday.  It looks alot better in person than in pictures...Problem is with it, too many things would have to go.  The aforementioned, "cheap piece of plastic chit" under the seat, the rear bob-tail fender would have to be replaced with a Rocker-type fender, and the pipes would have to be replaces with a set of V&H Big Radius or something similar.  I sat on the bike, and was pleasantly surprise with the fit.  I'm 6'4", 250+, and the seat was, first impressions, very comfortable, and the reach and control placings worked very well for me.  They had a gloss black one at the show and I really liked the factory pin-striping.  With a few not-so minor changes, this bike could be a seriously great looking ride.
