Well, shucks, that sounds like too much work........I'm through with 'doing research'.....just wouldn't mind a straight shooter news outlet that you could depend on......guess that's too much to ask for in todays world, huh?  Everyone's got a dog in the fight.   ::) spyder

Somebody will tell ya there is a news source that only spouts truth, and they will really believe it.  Since humans are involved, it is not too damn likely that such truth is an accurate assumption.

Many years ago, after I met a few Playboy centerfolds, I realized they had been airbrushed for the mag.  It was a little disappointing, but I got over it.  News is also airbrushed, but the research is nowhere near as much fun as that other kind.   ;D

How can a News organization even begin to bill itself as unbiased when the General Population has a fairly even distribution of liberal and conservatives, but the Main media is compromised of over 80% Liberal/Democrats?

Well if you really believe main stream media is even close to being balanced, there in lies the problem........

That is a belief that only can be supported by an ideaology for the facts cannot support the conclusion even with extreme interpretation.

Read the book Biased written by Bernie Goldberg a Big liberal that worked for CBS and Dan Rather for years and believe

me he is not a closet conservative......

Fox News By O'Reilly is the best example I can come up with a true neutral take on opinon news and Sheppard Smith as

far as a hard news outlet.

list :   my honest opinion as far as the neutrality of outlets
1 very conservative  2 slightly conservative  3 neutral   4 slightly liberal  5 very liberal

NBC NEWS                4.5
CNN HEADLINE NEWS  5
MSNBC                     5  THEY SHOULD BE A 6
CBS  NEWS               4
ABC NEWS                4
FOX O'REILLY            3  O'REILLY IS A LITTLE SOCIALLY LIBERAL
HANNITY                  1  SEAN IS A DIE HARD CONSERVATIVE
DRUDGE REPORT        3  I WILL POST AS NEUTRAL EVEN THOUGH LEANS SLIGHTLY LEFT
NEWSMAX                2
DAILY KOS               10
TOWNHALL               1.5
NPR                         4  GOVERNMENT SHOULD GET OUT OF THE FUNDING BUSINESS IN TV & RADIO
NEW YORK TIMES      5

Irregardless of left or right, the news is about ratings today, not true news. You don't hear much about the good things that go on, even though it's news, people want the dirt and that's what they get. Fashion, cooking, Paris Hilton, and Britteny Spears are not news! If you have ever been anywhere that news was happening, then watch it later on the news, most times you'd think you were in a different place, not even close! You have to do a lot of filtering and consider the sources.

There is a reason for that, good news doesn't sell. If papers, new shows etc. don't draw readers, subscribers, an audience, they lose their advertisers. This I've seen first hand. The strange part about this is that when you talk with people one on one they want to read or hear good news but it doesn't sell. The majority wants to see flashy headlines, sensationalism sells.

AJ is the only person here who can get right with global warming.  To get carbon neutral he just needs to get those damned heads and pistons cleaned.
