Are you happy with your radio reception?
I put the same antenna in Nancy's Classic and it's only ok.
The HawgWired is great, the antenna leaves a little more desired!

Chip, it's been in there since the bike was only a week or so old. So can't honestly make a fair comparison anymore.
Do remember at the time picking a local strong station and riding out of town to the point it started to fade. Then came back and changed the antenna. Next night did the same ride. The little antenna lost about a mile compared to the other one.
The other comparison I made was sitting in the driveway. The little antenna got all the same local stations as the whip. By local I mean within 20 miles or so of their xmitters. No difference there.
Truth be told, however, I hated the whip. Didn't want to screw with it and would have gladly lost some coverage for it. The TuneTrapper does a not quite but nearly as effective job as the whip. Placement made a difference.
A lot of the time on the road I don't listen to the audio system at all. Prefer the sounds of the road to keep me company if I'm riding alone. Will have it on if I'm running the two lanes, just out playing, or maybe half the time while cruising. Then it's mostly XM or a CD though. The broadcast radio channels become a pretty low priority. Since it does work fine locally I honestly never worry about it.
