Well we heard some noises coming from my 110. Decided to bring it to Harley to have it looked out. Glad we did.
Dropped 2 lifters they had collapsed, tore up the cam compartment.
Replacing:
Cam plate
Oil Pump
Tensioners
Cam
Bearings
Cam Chain
Lifters with SE Lifters
New pushrods
Assorted gaskets, o rings and such.
24k miles, approx 6k miles on the last headgasket fix thus far no leaks
Drained all the oil, took off the oil pan, opened the oil filter and checked the crank run out. Also marred the crank on the pinion side, but harley denied the claim saying it will have no effect on the motor / crank. I was told the crank was within spec, but forgot to ask what the measurement actually was. Dealer had everything in stock except the tensioners, cam support plate, and oil pump. 3-5 day wait on the parts.
