SEEG got some new chrome.
« on: March 05, 2008, 08:28:31 AM »

I know some of you dont like doing this to the SE's, but I personally love it this way and it make mine more unique.  To each his own, but I figured I post a couple of pics of it.  I went with a 21" in the front and 18" in the rear.  The bike handles different, I think it handles better.  The front seems much lighter now for some reason.  High speeds, excess of 80mph, seems to steady and smooth.  Conering is great, and it sits up about a 1/2 to 1" taller, which is not a big deal to me, 6'1" and the wife is 5'9".  The only issue I have with them is that the brakes squeak, which is being fixed now with a set of Lyndall Z pads.  The wheels are by Renegade, the South Beach model with matching rotors on the front.  I kept the stock rotors on the rear with the pulley and just put a chrom cover on the pulley, you cant see them anyway.  I went with Metzlers with nitro and love them.  My local hd is doing a lot of these set ups and usually keep them in stock.  No modification was necessary for the front fender or rear.  I rode it for about 200 miles over the weekend and it was nice.  I'll take some better pics later, but I figured I'd send these in off of my phone.

No need to start off your post with a quasi-apology.  We all do our own mods. to these things because we all have our own tastes.  The wheels/rotors look really good and I look forward to seeing more photos! :2vrolijk_21:

One of the independants up here in Ontario did a set of 18's f&r and he claimed a much lighter steering, especially at low speeds. I like the look of what you did to your bike. Good job.

Looks great :2vrolijk_21: You could do away with those ugly rotors and see that new front wheel with product called 360 brake.

I saw those through a link in here somewhere.  They look unreal! but i need some more reassurance that they are a reliable product and can withstand some abuse.  Just seems to good to be true, i guess.

Yea I know what your saying. I leaning towards that route when I change the front wheel to a 21".360brake.com For the price you pay for matching rotors Its not that much more to go to the 360 brake. When and If I do it I will post some pics of the install.
