TODAY'S UPDATE:
HeHe!!! Vern just called to ask if the rear fender or electrical harness had ever been off the bike. I was a lil alarmed as to why he'd asked and answered "Why, what's wrong with them now?" He laughed and answered, "Well, they are the only 2 items that had never been off this bike now!!!"

He had just removed the swingarm and pressed out the pivot bushings to install the TrueTrack True Pivot setup. He's never used one and is unsure of any improvement it's supposed to provide. So here I am again trying something that nobody I know has tried before. But I'm still convinced it's an improvement and hope I'm not pulling the swingarm off next winter to put stock stuff back in there. Time will tell on this one I guess. But I think what TT has done is sound, as are their other products and am willing to give it a shot.
With 25K on her, and the rear being completely off, we're also putting a new rear belt on now. With everything being completely apart, and the whole bike getting "renewed", might as well try again as if she's a "0" mileage bike, like my '85 FXWG just became. It took my '85 to be almost 20 YO before doing this. It' took Cybil almost
2!!! WTF!!! Hope by Vern completely rebuilding her this time like the WG, that she's finally going to become what I want out of her, a RELIABLE Touring Hot Rod!!!

Hoist!
