I cut almost a ft off stock ones and took spring off cb side (I don't use cb)so they are even and still have good reception.RIDE SAFE JDO

Just a reminder: cut off the bottoms, not the tops. Cut mine down before using the J & M's and worked fine . Shorties worked easier for the detachable T P though. Also have fairing antenna too

I put the J&M's on my 08 SEUC.  I live about 30 miles out of town and I noticed a little loss of reception for my favorite FM station.  I can't speak about the CB signal, as I have never used the CB.  J&M's look good and, as far as I know, are the best shorty antenna option out there.

I cut down the whip antennas on my 02 ultra about a foot (from the bottom).  Could not really tell any difference in radion reception.  Like the looks of the J&M's better though.

Another trick is to pull the tip of the whip forward and tuck it under the rear of the switch on each speaker pod. Once I found that place to stow them, I never did any of the old tricks again. Then I sold the bike. :)

Thank you Chief

The trick with the speaker switches works fine until I can get hold of a couple of shorties from J&M. :)

J&M's for sure.  Bought mine on eBay and saved a few bucks.  Just looked on eBay now and you can get them for $31.99 plus $4.60 shipping.  Not sure how that compares with the other sourches listed above.

Yeah, VAZ, that's the ticket~  I'm keeping mine tall too, 'cause it's like old school COP 'whoop-antenna'.  :coolblue: har!  spyder

It is a mess getting my CUSE3 in and out of the garage due to the full lenght antennas.

Is there a easy fix to this problem?
The J&M antennas look good and work fine. J&M, however, does not want to ship outside of the U.S. They told me to buy from http://www.cycleaccessorystore.com, and they ship everywhere (and at a lower price: HRUP-ATM 18" Motorcycle Antenna Staff for CB or AM/FM Upgrade ‘89-‘08 Harley Trunk Mount ONLY, List Price: $39.99, Our Price: $31.99).
Note: You need two of those.

Ride safely,
Louis

I just installed J & M Shorties.
From what I can tell work great, and look much better that the junk flimsy shorties purchased from HD delaer.
