...and
Ok, here goes.
It doesn't suck. But it's got its quirks.
Rode it for an hour this afternoon. When first started I thought I was getting blown all over the place; until I realized I wasn't. The noise was fooling me.
After a moment realized my head wasn't getting blown around too bad and started moving my hand around. No greater wind impact with my hand in front of my chest than until it raised to just above my head. So at least for height it is pushing the wind up over you.
But it's noisy. It's the shape of the thing.
Those folds on the side drop the windstream as it goes through them. Right at your face/head the wind is kicked up over you. Right beside your head those folds in the windshield let a tunnel of air fly just outboard of your ears. With the half helmet that was on this evening it made for a noisy environment. With the full face lid I'm guessing the experience would have been different. But will have to find that out for sure another time.
It doesn't have the wind-in-the-face problem I feared it might. The noisy rider's environment it creates I'd not expected beforehand. That's a real issue though. Wouldn't be surprises if later version of this screen keep that central shape but have it flare back outward a bit on its trailing edge to direct the airflow wider around the rider's head.
The screen looks good. It gets a resounding endorsement for appearance. Riding with it, however, is ok but definitely not great. At least not in a half helmet.
