I should mention that I was offered a 7 year warranty, but that was more than $2,000. I figured I should have the bugs worked out at the end of 5 yrs. -Hopefully!
Also, since my bike arrived two and a half months late, and they had sold my trade in during the Sturgis rally, I reminded the sales manager about the concept of the time value of money. As a result they knocked $600 off the warranty.
I was told that many of the extended car and truck warranties are overlapping programs too. -I'll have to take that on faith, as I have never purchased an extended vehicle warranty before.
If my bike toasts my nuts I'll probably do the pipes, A/C and SERT. I did this on my last CVO and didn't have any worries about hurting my warranty. I'm just hoping I don't ever have to use it. If I experience the problems many of you have, I know I'm going to do a permanent fix. I don't want to have my bike to spend half of the time in the shop.
-Oh that's right- these bikes aren't seeing ANY problems. Right?
