yep, and that gas is low BTU-------obvious by its orange flame when lit. with the gas produced by some beer, the flame is not hot enough to burn hair, while with others, the flame will darken your toenails. be careful while testing---------------you may use all your carbon credits.

This thread made me think where in the world is the cheapest gas currently and it's in Venezuela. They pay $.25/gallon (see here).

I went there 2 years ago, way out of the squalid city of Teguchigalpa into Sandanista territory on the Nicuargua border...Beautiful weather, nice peasants, good food but only one paved road..The Pan American Hwy...Smoked a azzpile of cigars and drank enough Flor De Cana to float a ship in...Great vacation.

I travel to both countries frequently.  You may want to put Ecuador on the far back burner as a place to live or retire.  Costa Rica, on the other hand, FIRST CLASS.  Lot's of US investment going on there at the moment due to the extremely favorable business climate.

If you do the math that means that US citzens pay nearly twice as much for gas, as a percentage of their income, than the Venezuelans.
