Just paid $1.59 this morning for regular at Kroger with the .10 discount. Also note Tennessee has one of the highest "at the pump" fuel tax rates in the country. That and the 10% sales tax is why we don't have a state income tax, yet!

Best damn gas in the entire USA too Mark. I get on average a 10% bump in my fuel mileage when driving through the great state of Tennessee

$1.69 for reg, but the Mustang loves that $1.92 premium.

Finally below $2 here in Dago county. Mobil Station in Ramona was selling reg for $1.99 

You watch it shoot back up to $4 when it's time for me to drive to Maine for the summer next May.

Pilot Travel Center has regular gas for $1.63 here. I heard on the radio
that one station in Little Rock had it for $1.55 and traffic was backed up
to the interstate to get it.

And 60 days ago we stood in line to get $4.00 gas for our bikes, and were damn glad to get it!

Back when media energy geeeniersouses were predicting "$5 a gallon gas by you fill in the date in 2009", those of us who noted gas goes up, then comes down were met with unbridled skepticism & stuff.

Where are these same geeeniersouses now & why are they not predicting "$1.00 a gallon gas by you fill in the date in 2009"?

I suspect a conspiracy of media energy geeeniersouses, at the very least.

Here in the western St. Louis are when you use your debit card, it's $1.55/9.  That's about 1 mile from my house.

Over the past year or so, not needing premium I didn't pay that close attention, but it used to be that the Reg was $X.XX, Mid was $X.XX + 10¢, and Prem was $X.XX + another 10¢.  Then for some reason they raised the up charges by 5¢ each and now there is a 30¢ difference between Reg and Prem, not the 20¢ there used to be.

I think that's a sneaky way to keep the Reg low and still make a better margin on the mid and premium grades.

What's the bump between grades in other area?

My son lives in Des Moines and in IA the Mid grade is cheaper than Reg grade.  Most of the plains states are that way.

They've accomplished what they wanted to do, make us HAPPY to be paying less than $2.00/gallon.
