Unless you possess Howie's bad luck and they blow clean out of the head taking the treads with them and short the ECM fuse and strand you along a highway several hundred miles from home!     ::)  (sorry Howie...)
Did that really happen? Because if it did that truly is a bad luck case and about as funny an  incident as I  have ever heard. :D

It ain't so funny when it happens to you on a long trip and you have to get towed home!!! And yes it does happen, it did happen, and with my fix, it won't happen again!!! ???

Sorry I did not mean to offend. I was totally taken back by how unlikely it would be for something like that to happen , and then on a trip . That is truly BAD LUCK.

Well yea, there's always that type of failure. That's when a part goes Howie. I talking about a NORMAL failure mode.

Mine has.  Sort of.  A shelf in the garage broke & fell on the RK.  Scratched the hell out of the windshield & scared the dogs pretty bad.  Of course the shelf broke due to modifications - TMS sitting on it.

I can't say that.  I've rolled home one night and not had it start the next time.

Were you on the bike, or just rolling along on your own?   :nixweiss:

God help ya if you put a Harley Davidson SE Race Tuner on it with Slip-On's. I went the extra mile and put a fog horn on mine and I'm sure that ruined my warranty. I also put Amsoil 20/50 in mine which ruined the motor. All these things were recommended to me by my dealer and now I have no  warranty. >:( >:( >:( >:(

:I have only 1500 miles on my 110 and am wondering how many of you haven't had any oil leak problems or is it a given that I will be seeing one at some point soon. I find that people tend to speak up when there is a problem but do not say anything if all is well.

That is correct, however, 07 was the first production year of the 110 and many documented problems exist and continue to exist on the 08 110's. Keep in mind the CVO's are a limited production motorcycle and the numbers are not showing the Motor Company created a adequate 110 motor. The replacement crated motors from the Motor Company are failing as well. You be the judge.

Hey guys! Guess what? Today I dropped my '08 CVO Springer Softail off at the dealership that I bought it from for the oil leak that it had and I was thinking that the front end head gasket was leaking. I was quite well informed that it goes deeper than that. They told me that they have been having troubles with the '08 110 motors and it has something to do with movement of the casing or something inside or around the cylinder wall and that basically HD needs to do something about it. I believe that I am going to be 'sitting' for quite a while.
