I'm coming upon the 2 year anniversary of the time I bought this bike.

In my head, I've briefly summarized the money I've spent and the efforts made towards getting it running right. I've come to a conclusion that the more you spend, the worse it runs. Whenever I first bought it, it ran perfectly. It pulled hard, it was fast, and got over 40 MPG. But, it sounded like a Singer sewing machine running. I've since spent more money on it than it cost to remodel my house. It now gets 30 MPG, and spits and sputters and is still starved for air.

The perfect Harley is like a wet dream. It's all a fantasy.

Ken, cheer up pal.  It will get better.  Ride on over here to J-town and lets get that bike tuned, and go do some serious riding.  Guaranteed to make you feel better.

Is the throttle body in yet Ken?  When you going to try to see John after that?

If it's running that poorly just going to trailer it to the dyno?

It's when you start spending , That's the problem! Spend to correct one thing, Spend some more to Correct the next symptom, Ask Howie, He's an expert on throwing money at a problem and after 18 months he's still getting it dialed in :) & Spending  :huepfenjump3:

Just getting frustrated Travis. Ordered he TB so I can Re-tune all over again. Told them which Injectors to use. Make sure you have those. I just called and asked about the TB, it's in..but, when I mention the Injectors, I get this blank sound from the parts guy. Errr..What injectors? We're going to order the necessary parts you need, one part at a time.

I didn't tell them where to go, BUT, I promised him I'd not see him in heaven.

Na, it ain't that bad. It's running. It just ain't right. My intention is to get the TB AND the injectors in before I start. I was hoping to ride over this w/e....BUT at the rate they're ordering parts, I may have to trailer it over because there will be ice on the roads. After that, let the dealer do what he can with the SERT, see how it runs, then come to see John.

Don't think so.  With the bike I can stick a hose down it's throat for 20 bucks on the credit card and ride away.

OH!!! Dealer just called me back.

THE TB is in, so they ordered the injectors today.

WHERE is the logic in their thinking?

Dealer - logic - thinking.  Aren't those all mutually exclusive terms?
