Why would anyone want to fondle a skull helmet?  Isn't that kind of perverse?  ::) :P :nixweiss:

I wear a 3/4 all year round.  My bike is my primary commuting vehicle and I like to listen to tunes.  Thus, the 3/4 allows me to do this.  Tried a full face, modular (HCI, approx. $300) for a couple of years -- didn't mind it, but about 7 years I loaned it to a neighbor, and he left it on his garage floor that night with the bottom up.  His cat had a litter of kittens in it that night .  I wanted to see how fast the cat could outrun my Glock  :-X, but figured that wouldn't be too neighborly.  I told him he could keep it but would he mind shelling out some bucks for a new one for me.  Well, his answer to that one almost made me change my mind about the Glock.  In any event, I had to rush out and get a new one so I could ride that day and the only one available was the 3/4, and I've just stuck with it.

My wife and I will not ride without full face . Cant Beat them for all around riding. Yes a little hot at times but I always cool off sooner or later. My brother in  law always rode with a helmet  except the day he died just going for a short ride at 32 mph the police said he lost control high sided and landed on his head not fun for the family and I think all our lives ore important to more than just us. Will be odering 2 Shoei X-Eleven helmets in black with Anti fog dark smoke lens and chrome reflective lens. Never had a problem staying cool and much prefer the protection from the elements and god forbid an accident. This is a whole new experience for me though in owning my firstr ever  Harley bagger so who knows maybe I will find my tastes/desires will change in what I want/need for riding gear. 8)

I felt like a tool riding with my FF during the summer on my SERK - went the 1/2 when it's warm enough, and I have a HJC flip up painted to match my SERK that I ride in the cold.

My HJC I wear for my KLR is getting (actually is) long in the tooth, going to get the EXO-1000 to replace it.
