While the stoichiometric air/fuel ratio for gasoline is 14.7:1, it is 9.0:1 for pure ethanol. A 10% ethanol mixture will in fact make the engine run leaner, by approximately .5 AFR value. If you compare the chemical formulas for gasoline and ethanol, you will note that the ethanol carries it's own oxygen molecules, while gasoline is strictly carbon and hydrogen.

Originally alcohol was limited to 10% maximum (gasohol) by regulation. However, now that alcohol has been substituted for other chemicals in the production of "oxygenated" fuels for emission reductions, you can wind up with up to 15% in some blends. This will definitely affect the way your bike runs.
