If you can't have silver and black then,
Blue is a perfect color!
Maybe not as fast as red but perfect nonetheless!

That's ok Gary.  Blue though its field may be that is not its mood.  It runs well again and is fun to be out on.  Can't ask for more.

And that's all that matters. :2vrolijk_21:

Those were from the same angle for comparison.  This will illustrate what you see a little better.

I have the same hitch on my 04.................when the black powder coating started to peel I had the hitch chromed.................

Didn't like the chrome :coolblue:...........at least didn't like the hitch chromed.......stood out...........

Had it sent out and black powder coated it again............................

Only problem is when you don't have either the V-rail of the Street Glide valance installed.....people ask what it is.......so I just leave the receiver installed.

They also see the wires laying on the left pipe. I have to explain they are for a trailer and that the pipe is a dummy.....

No matter what you do to conceal it people will still notice small things and ask questions

Had had that happen with the harness a couple of times Brian.  Then started wire tieing it up against the hitch itself when not in use so it wouldn't dangle and be seen.

Had thought about chroming the hitch bracketry.  Then thought that'd make it stand out too much against the background.  So the black powder coat stayed.  Nothing is ever going to be completely perfect there.  The FLHX rear fascia hides most of it though.  It's good enough for a dumb biker like me.

I tuck the connecter up inside the fender/receiver and nothing shows.  MJZ & I had conversation with Andrew Preston about chroming the receiver hitch.  Two things - customer had done this and made the hitch stand out even more and second, the chroming process weakens the steel.  Not knowledgeable about that statement but decided to leave mine black power coat.

Picked up a black 2000 Turbo 2+2 recently.  Found on the Bushtec forum-fellow was just answering a question from another member that he had one for sale.

Nice Bob.  Very nice.  You're going to fall in love with the cooler too.  Just don't load it more than about half full of ice while cruising.  Can make the nose of the bike pretty light with too much weight on the tongue.

Already told my wife that as I read this a few weeks ago when I read about everything there is on this site on trailers.   :2vrolijk_21:
Wouldn't have ordered all the lights on the light bumper though.
