All of the Bushtec trailers function pretty much the same so it comes down to looks.  I have the Roadstar and I think it is by far the best looking one they make.  Has Harley lights and everything on it.

FWIW

Regards, Moe

Another Roadstar fan :2vrolijk_21: .  Here's one thing to consider though.  I thought the square back lenses did't flow well with the rounded shape of the trailer and remembered the old Aurora lenses that used to be pretty popular in the aftermarket.

At least to my eye they looked pretty good on our Roadstar trailers.  Flow with the shape better.  Link to them at J&P here: http://www.jpcycles.com/catalog/2007HarleyCatalog/0347.asp

OK, this is the most compelling argument...the Turbo +2 has the most capacity by weight and volume...

It is also  the leader by far...

I personally just prefer the look of the Roadstar Bill.  To my eye the shape goes with our bikes better.  Though with the exception of that one Bushtec model that is obviously Wing-ee they're all good looking trailers behind our bikes.

With both of you riding together, however, I'd still not vote Roadstar for you guys.  It's about 20% smaller volume if I remember correctly.  If you're going to bite the bullet and give Anne some extra space you might as well get all you can.

Don't bet me wrong.  Going from never having pulled a trailer to pulling the Roadstar it seems huge.  I've hauled more crap then I'd ever dreamed I'd take on a bike trip.  But if you two are going on continental trips together there's hardly any justification for not getting the extra space when you do it.

WFP,

Be careful in using the weight on the website. Our trailer is listed at 125#, but as delivered it topped out at 175#. The 125 is evidently for a plain-jane trailer without all of the goodies you're looking to get.

I agree with Twolane, more crap is good. The trailer enabled Terry to spend big bucks on crap, I mean limited prints, of Sendona landscapes. Now they hang in the bedroom behind my bar. Doc

You have a bar in the bedroom??  COOL!  8)  I am just trying to convince Anne that a small harley fridge in the bedroom would be the ultimate convenience!  But an entire bar...hmmm!

Its actually part of a underground garage. If you look to the right, thats the door to the bath and bedroom. The door to the left goes up to the main house. So its a bedroom behind the bar.  Doc

OK, originally I was looking at the Quantum GT but have since changed to the Turbo +2 with Areowing...but I have a question...would it be better to get the luggage rack on top or leave it clean?

Our Quantum does not have a LR option, but with the copious amounts of space inside, it isn't necessary. I think they look nice, but we have no problem getting to gross weight with stuff on the inside only. :)

That would depend on how many hats you want to carry.

From a visual perspective leave it clean.  But that's not the only factor.  Do you think you'd actually use the space?  Is enough weight allowed there to make it actually worthwhile or is it an expensive accessory you can't get a lot of functional use from?  If the trailer is full is the gross weight normally already maxxed out anyway?  But, really, just how butt ugly is that nice sleek Anne-induced-painted-to-match trailer going to look with a big tumor strapped down on its back and the straps beating the hell out of the paint going down the road (but I'm not biased on this topic one way or ther other)?

When I ordered mine I had the luggage rack on it because I was afraid of someone laying something on the top but Bushtec called and talked me out of it. I'm glad they did.
Here are pictures of the Turbo +2 with Areowing with and w/o the rack:

That's not even a stand-off rack MJ. Just bars that'll never completely keep anything with any flex to it off the paint.  Whether it looks good in place or not I'd be afraid of using it.
