I think the "fix" will come when hell's temperature moderates.   ???

First year problems...expected.
Problems running into second year.... disappointing, but explainable.
Same problems showing up in the third model year......DISASTEROUS.

I can't believe we're the only ones smart enough to understand this.

The next month, with the launch of the 09's, will be very telling.

So does this mean that a FIX is in the works???

Of course this is a REAL place and for those that have traveled through it in southern Michigan, can indeed agree that it's aptly named.  Maybe there is a Hell because not too far down the road is a town called Climax and the other well known town of Intercourse.  So with Climax and Intercourse you probably get Hell as a result....

What will be even more telling is just how many people still lay down the big bucks for one even knowing it's a POS backed by a POS company.  Boggles my mind how many masochists there are running around loose.

I remember posting a long time ago about waiting for a SERG.  Now that there is a good chance we'll actually see one, I'll have to take a pass.  Kind of sucks, but I'll be damned if I'll let the MoCo screw me over again.

Don't use it as an excuse for a spare motor use it as an opportunity for a spare bike again.  You know you need two anyway.  Get the SERG (that the poolboy is guaranteeing will be released) and continue riding LD for several months while motor components are assembled to do the job right.  After five or six months have gone by Linda will be used to both of them being there and you'll be golden :2vrolijk_21: .

I know the feeling.  When I decided that I wanted to get a new bike, I could have purchased an '07 Red SERK and that was my favorite.  But after reading the threads here at the time I decided to wait for the '08 models.  During my wait I felt confident that the "FIX" would be done before my bike was made.  Well so far no leak, but many after mine have leaked, so I can only wait and see how much longer before mine leaks.

Unlike most of you guys that have other later model bikes and can put off buying because you still have very functional and good riding bikes, I on the other hand only had my '76 FLH shovelhead.  This is a great bike to look at and go to the watering holes with, but NOT a bike to ride more than a 100 miles or so.  I know, I know, lots of people have done that and are still doing the long hauls on the shovelheads, but not this guy, it just beats you up too much.

So with such limited options, I had no other practical choice but to bite the bullet and get my new '08 SERK.

I'm very happy with it and I'm sure that sometime in the future a fix will be made available.  This is a very powerful bike with the 110" with my V&H and SE AC installed.  It's smooth on the road and handles great, all things being relative.  Remember I rode a '76 FLH.  And when my new SERK let me down on the freeway two weekends ago, because of the defective PCM III, I had my shovelhead to ride.  That's like riding the SERK and then hopping on a riding lawnmower for a cruise.  I think I said this in another post, but my wife did like the way the seat vibrated on the FLH while we were riding....

Anyway, I'm riding and waiting for the fix and will not let it get me down.

Had Hd stock for years.  Went up $$$.  Sold it a few years ago.  Damn glad I did, considering the current state of the MoCo.

If nuttin' comes from the Dealer meeting in July on the 110, then it looks like nuttin' is coming.  I heard there would be something after that meeting on the 110 (from someone I trust who was at an HD meeting in May)  - evidently the MoCo is aware they are in a PR disaster on this issue currently.  And the 09 CVO baggers appear at this point to be 110's.... unless they have water jackets......so guess away for now.   :nixweiss:
Smart man ! HD stock always fluctuates alot , Buy low [now] Sell at 50 or 60 make money.!!!!!! Not a popular idea but a good one.

You are wise in the ways of the stock market.  HD is one of the stocks I am watching currently.  Wonder how low it could go?

Investors must have read your comment, Mike.  HD dropped $1.61 today.

If you wait to see the bottom it will already be going up when you place the buy. You have to buy when you are good with the price if it goes down after your purchase it's OK your waiting for the up number of 50 or 60 then sell it, may go up more but made your money and be happy. The guy's that try to target the absolute bottom or absolute top never win. If I had to guess the bottom I would say 33 or so would be it but What do I know it's all a mystery anyway.

When I buy a stock, I research the company, and if it looks better than the current stock price, then i consider buying it.

Don't believe in "timing" the market, since I don't have Peter Lynch genes & even if I did, it's best to stay invested.  But it's also best to unload dogs, and frankly, a few years ago, the Moco started barking.
