What will be even more telling is just how many people still lay down the big bucks for one even knowing it's a POS backed by a POS company. Boggles my mind how many masochists there are running around loose.
I remember posting a long time ago about waiting for a SERG. Now that there is a good chance we'll actually see one, I'll have to take a pass. Kind of sucks, but I'll be damned if I'll let the MoCo screw me over again.

I know the feeling. When I decided that I wanted to get a new bike, I could have purchased an '07 Red SERK and that was my favorite. But after reading the threads here at the time I decided to wait for the '08 models. During my wait I felt confident that the "FIX" would be done
before my bike was made. Well so far no leak, but many after mine have leaked, so I can only wait and see how much longer before mine leaks.
Unlike most of you guys that have
other later model bikes and can put off buying because you still have very functional and good riding bikes, I on the other hand only had my '76 FLH shovelhead. This is a great bike to look at and go to the watering holes with, but NOT a bike to ride more than a 100 miles or so. I know, I know, lots of people have done that and are still doing the long hauls on the shovelheads, but not this guy, it just beats you up too much.
So with such limited options, I had no other practical choice but to bite the bullet and get my new '08 SERK.
I'm very happy with it and I'm sure that sometime in the future a fix will be made available. This is a very powerful bike with the 110" with my V&H and SE AC installed. It's smooth on the road and handles great, all things being relative. Remember I rode a '76 FLH. And when my new SERK let me down on the freeway two weekends ago, because of the defective PCM III, I had my shovelhead to ride. That's like riding the SERK and then hopping on a riding lawnmower for a cruise. I think I said this in another post, but my wife did like the way the seat vibrated on the FLH while we were riding....
Anyway, I'm riding and waiting for the fix and will not let it get me down.
