Thanks, Jeff.  BTW, how far are you from Newton?  We Race there on September 20, during the "Championship Series."  Headin' out to Salem, Indiana, this week-end.  Real "Bull-Pen."  5/8 Mile Oval, with 34 degree banking.  Don't have to worry about Brake problems there.  WFO, all the way around!  The "Kid", is only 13 Points behind the Leader, Benny Gordon, while maintaining a 47 point lead over 3rd place Driver, Mikey Kile.  :2vrolijk_21: Later--HUBBARD

I am about 2 hours to the North of Newton and Thanks for giving me the date and I may just plan a ride to watch the KID win that race in Newton and hopefully meet you that would be Kewl  :2vrolijk_21:

Heard Lakeland Speedway was sold and is going to be leveled and turned into storage bussiness. What a shame and waste of a great speedway. Quess we wont be going to watch "The Kid" and see Mr. Hubbard this fall.  >:(

I really hate to see these different small tracks not being able to survive........it's a sign of the times I guess.  We'll be racing golf carts soon around the golf courses.  :-[  aaaaargh.   spyder

Yeap, they closed our last drag strip around her about 5 years ago. None with 2 hours of here now except Englishtown. Trying getting in there for drunken drags! ??? ;D ;)

It's only right since he did pay to have the road built.  Just glad the city caved in and let him build the place.


Anybody know where/when the Kid's next race is?

He is in the Northern Division of Hooters Cup, and the schedule shows the next race to be in South Boston Va. 8/9/08.
