seems stupid you would think they would be on it since the new bikes sound quiet and need a lift money in the bank you would think  mb

Your little girl is a cutie and I'm a sucker for little girls having raised two of my own.

Having said that , would you post a shot of your Reinhart 2 into 1 system with your little angle sitting on top of the bike or maybe behind it ? I've never seen a set on a bike and would like to check it out .

Thanks

Huhm...interesting comments here on Bub/Rhinehart. This is my first time to this thread, and with the great treatment I just experienced with Brad, I would have not known otherwise. I just picked up my bike from service last week and they (dealer) told me they discovered a broken bracket on my rear header.  They offered to order a replacement from Rhinehart and install it for me (for a price), or I could take it and have it welded on my own.
Well...I took it home and called Bub myself. When Brad heard my problem, he didn't even blink, and shipped out a new rear header with the updated bracket! ;D

I guess the argument could be made that this issue is more structural, and requires quick resolution. I was going to say this issue was repetitive, but so are the other issues I see here!
I dunno, just a proper alignment of the stars and planets I guess is what it takes sometimes!

Thanx to all!  :orange:

I called them about the black ends turning purple...they sent me two new ones without any problems and asked me to return the old ones.  The new ones were slightly different in the way they were made...sold the bike now, so don't know if they will turn again, but after about 5K they were fine while I still had it.

Terry,

You must have done that when Karen was still the customer service contact.  I did the same on previous endcaps.  However, after Karen's departure from the company, they no longer exchange purple for black.  They are now far less customer oriented and much harder to deal with regarding warranty items.

I too had my TD's black end caps turn purple on my 08 SERK. My selling dealer swapped the black ends for chrome in May. The chrome ends are now peeling right where it reads Rhinehart (fitting  :nixweiss:) Here is the email response I received in regards to an inquiry I had made about a remedy. It is NOT just the black ends they are having trouble with.

Dear Howard,

To obtain warranty service, you must provide us, via e-mail or fax, a copy of your dated receipt as proof of the purchase. Make sure your name, shipping address and daytime phone number are included. We will also need to get from you a credit card number to insure that you will be returning the defective parts for assessment. You will not be billed unless we do not receive the defective parts back or if upon return the inspectors feel that the parts are not defective. To expedite your claim, please include a short note including bike make, model and year; exhaust type & part number (if available) and also the nature of the problem.

You should know that BUB Enterprises, Inc. has a standard ninety day, from the date of purchase, warranty on all merchandise. We extend this warranty against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Please contact our BUB Sales department at BUB@bub.com for prices on replacement parts for systems over a year old.

We will process your warranty claim once we establish your account. For the past year and a half, our Rinehart end caps have been processed with a black Teflon finish that we are confident, at this time, will withstand the heat of the engine and hold the true Rinehart black color. Chrome end caps are considered an accessory and not offered as warranty replacements. If you purchased the chrome end caps and have a copy of the receipt, we can offer warranty replacements for them as well.

Thank you,
Linnea Johnston

Might have been when she was still there...Suzanne talked to them on the phone, so maybe that helped if it was a guy  ;)  She bought it (the exhaust system) for me as a Christmas present and was not happy with the purple caps.

Thanks man, but after a comment you made a few months ago re: Elvis, it started me to thinkin (never good).
I felt it just did not handle the 2 up I needs I have in SoFlo very well...So a Road Sofa is due this weekend I hope.
I did not like the lowered bike either, it handled "funny"

I sure wanted the 09 serg but Shmoops MS is progressing and a full comfy 2 up was in line.
A road king is great, good looking bike, but a road king it will stay no matter what you do to it.
