Ah yes, Katherine Harris.  You know what though; as freaky as she was she carried some heavy water as the Florida Secretary of State during all that mess.  And she never looked away from the glare or didn't stand up to her absolutely nutjob state Supreme Court.

I do wish she'd have avoided the need to run for national office and become a House member though.  Nothing dramatic about that turn in her career and at times a little embarassing.

I almost felt as if everything she stated was scripted by someone else.  If you noticed she could never really clearly answer any questions without going back to a scripted portion of her announcements.  I kinda felt sorry for her.  I'm sure she didn't want the whole country looking at her...I do know though, I would never want to see what she looks like without makeup on!!

That part is absolutely true.  Very early on she was winging it.  But even before Jimmy Baker and the rest of the RNC showed up someone had a ghost for her.  Trouble was I don't think she'd ever worked from a prompter before and prepared remarks that were supposed to look spontaneous were just not her best thing.  Good at it or not she still carried the water though.  Probably would've have anothter two or three hours each day to practice on a prompter if it weren't for the makeup though.....

If we are in the "gotta tell" mode, let me say this.

I have had a Harley or two since 1977 and will always have one or more.
There are a lot of good looking bikes out there and I have had a bunch of them but my Harley's will always occupy the # 1 spot in my heart and garage!
