I called many dealers this morning... No luck.  Some dealers had one, but was sold already, installed on a bike in the showroom, or some other answer.

So... No luck for me.

This is just one more example of how the MoCo has let me down.

Me too bro..... I'm sick and tired of them obsoleting stuff just because sales numbers aren't awesome. I had to scramble to buy the freaking 28 tooth pulley for my v-rod because all the sudden I noticed it was gone.  In the latters case I can kinda understand I mean it became a stock part in 2004 so the only market were 02 and 03 that were out there that hadn't already purchased it.  It was that experience that immediately got me to run out and buy the IDS for the Jester since it became stock in 2008 and I didn't want to get left out in the cold if I wasn't scouring their website all the time.

With all that said there really is no excuse IMHO for them to obsolete this particular item.  Maybe it hadn't sold up to their expectation but seriously they had a huge install base out there to be tapped into if they would have made something a little more affordable.  I also think they should have included it with the CVO bikes but what do I know?

Honestly one of the reasons I got my CUSE2 was because I had intended all along to install the blue tooth as part of the mix and all the sudden yesterday after 2.5 hours of calling dealers, sitting on hold, and hearing no's I finally broke through but had to pay full f'k'n retail which blows.

Call Glendale this morning and see I hope you can track one down.

Was just looking at the new 09 parts and accessories catalog (page 480), it mentions the bluetooth capabilities of the Road Tech Zumo for making making and receiving phone calls and the ability to call ahead to POIs though the interface.

Could it be the MOCO in their infinite wisdom decided that we drop the low selling BT module, since Garmin Zumo has a proven product and a better visible interface and Garmin will update the BT software when needed.

It would be fine if they adopted the Zumo for phone to Bluetooh... But a harness / adapter is needed to get it to the existing headset system.  The JM system requires a "manual" toggle switch to allow the phone to connect to the microphone.

I talked to someone today with the JM system and he said he likes it. He said when your Zumo alerts you of a call or if you want to make a call you toggle. He further stated he purchased a chrome switch housing in Harley's parts catalog and he uses that for the toggle. I haven't looked in the catalog for the switch housing but is sounds like a good idea. He loves the quality, has not issues with the BT and he also uses the Zumo for his XM. For half the cost of Harley's BT module, i might be a good alternative.

Ok, after a lot of discussion and referencing this site, we are still left with way too many unanswered and unconfirmed questions. For instance, even if new BT technology can communicate with more than one device (as Don has indicated on the Nolan), that would mean the Zumo could talk to the phone and the helmet. Where does the stock radio fit into into this equation? Without the HK radio there is no intercom or CB. Does this mean that the BT connection would drop when the intercom is activated? Another point is that I personally am not willing to forgo the 478 with weather radar for the Zumo. The 478 currently does not have BT but has the weather on the screen. Unfortunately at this time I do not see a clear answer.

Well,,, We will see how they do, i just called they have some and I just ordered one from them.. Can't wait any longer. These things are starting to go like hot cakes. So far I've got my receipt reply from them and a ship day within 3 days.. If they screw up, I'll let you know

Your right.. i got an email this morning that the part is obsolete. Bastards told me last Friday they had them in stock. Anyway,, they never charged my CC so no worry about that. I located another dealer here in Calif over the weekend that had one on the shelf but i didn't buy it. They are closed today,, I'm hoping they will still have it tomorrow

That is what I fully expect that they will release a new module that is vastly improved.

That's what happens when I get involved almost universally.

If I buy something the following things will happen... an upgrade, price drop, or both will occur soon after

If I miss out on buying something it will be obsoleted never to return and I'm SOL.

Hi, I had similar trouble, then purchased a "Caberg" bluetooth helmet, all problems were sorted, I also have a "Scala rider system fitted to my open face crash hat, this is also good! hope this helps.

Being that I have not received my BT module yet, I started calling around again. The dealer is supposed to be calling me back with a tracking # to confirm shipment. In the meantime I have found another dealer that says he has one 76408-06 "in his computer". If I don't need it, PM me and I'll forward anyone his info.
