Congratulations, letting them go off to do their own thing is a hard thing to do, but it sounds as though you have done your parenting job well! Plus, playing around with those overgrown toys, yehaa, now thats fun! Roger
Thanks Roger, that's really all they are, very very expensive overgrown toys.
Congrats mi amigo Ed for your son achievements.....it looks an interesting job!!
Thanks mi amigo, Pete's been thinking about traveling after he's been in the trade for a few years. He wants to try Alaska for one stop. At least with his job he'll able to work almost anywhere.
Pete is definately a great kid. Ed you done well with all your children, youre a great pops. So when I see pete next I will let him know that. And for him and school i took a lot of chit for joining the military then becoming a tradesmen so I know its tough to please everyone one but pleasing himself comes first......Now get your sick twisted minds out of the gutter you heathens. Later,Q
He'd better be a good kid, oops did I say that out loud.

I think the trades were a good way for him to go and so few people are going into them now. He had all honors classes in HS but just couldn't find anything else he wanted to do.
The education director at Cat, contact info via JR, pushed hard to get Pete in the program. Pete was stronger on the computer, technical end of the scale then the mechanical. Math and science were pretty strong too so he's a good fit for the trouble shooting end of things. Now with the training on the mechanical end he's starting to round things out.
I have a second, and third job teaching two different apprenticeship courses at night and the classes are getting smaller all the time. But the pay rates keep going up. Hard to find quality apprentices that want to work. Thanks Q, now what gutter is this you're talking about??
