Ernie let me put this in a better perspective for you....

Remember all during the winter when us on the east coast were freezing and couldn't ride...... You still were (and rubbing it in too ;) :D). Guess you'll just have to chalk this up as somebody having a bad day, and not let it ruin yours and ride on. :2vrolijk_21:

Nope, not that. It's just easier to calm others then it is to keep calm. I have my moments I can be one evil SOB at times. If you don't believe me just ask Mrs. D00d.

Add to that I wanted to get Ernie back for all his bragging about how great it is in Cali and being able to ride all year long. ;)

Knowing Ernie like I do.........I wasn't sure what we were going to see in this thread. :nixweiss:

Ernie, we've rode together enough that you know I can relate. >:(  More than one car is running around with a size 12 in the door or fender. ???

I bet that jerk in the car did upset you. Unfortunately there seems to be many like them on the road. Try not to dwell on his stupidity.
Paybacks can really backfire when you consider the size difference between their car and our bikes. Also in this day and age where they have traffic cameras and cellphone cameras everywhere you don't want to get caught throwing something or striking out at them.
In many states like Virginia it is a felony to throw something at or from a moving vehicle.
Now this would be a fun bike to own and point at the idiots on the the road though....

The main thing is that you are ok..  The 1st move by the driver was dumb, the 2nd move was criminal.  Lane splitting in Ohio is illegal.  Wouldn't be brave enough to do it if it were.

I used to carry 3/4" ball bearings back in the 70's.  I should start carrying something similar again...

Yeah, I was the one who started that thread a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still fuming, so I feel your frustration. I have to admit I'm kicking myself more that I didn't jot down the license plate, to track the guy down. It would have been an ugly scene for sure.

I still think someone has to come up with some reasonable defensive counter-measures. The only thing I've thought of so far is perhaps flame throwers through the exhaust. I betcha that would take care of tailgaters in short order!

What was it the hot rodders use to put near the end of their exhaust pipes to throw the flames out? Got to be some ole Hot Rodders here that know about that. :nixweiss:
