My 11 year old daughter just recently starting riding with me and she loves it so far. (but not nearly as much as her dad loves her riding with him, lol) However she has complained about her right foot getting to hot when we ride and I am worried that if I do not change something she may lose interest in riding. I have an 07 SERK with Fat Cat 2 in 1. I read the recent posts on changing to true duals or duals with the crossover and was considering one of these as a means of reducing the heat. I know if I make any changes I will be giving up some performance but it is more important to me for my daughter to ride and be comfortable. With my Fat Cat's I cannot use the rjk? heat shields that I bought because the pipes extend so far out on the right side. (don't know if the Kuryakyn or HD shields would fit with the Fat Cats) I was considering going back to stock headers (with crossover) and adding the vance and hines monster ovals which would allow me to use the heat shields, or at least I think it would. Mentioned changing from my Fat Cats to true duals or duals with crossover to a HD mechanic today and he said he thought all I would be doing was transferring the heat from the right to the left side. Your thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
