That's simple.  When she figures out what's going on she beats you with a stick.

yeah...always have to consider the potential downside.  Kinda like a design FEMA for women...   :nixweiss:

I tried the Kury heat shields with the stock crossover, didn't work, added a power commander, still too hot, wrapped the rear header still hot. Save yourself a lot grief and put on a set of Rush true duals they come with the JET coating and your problem is over. I had the BUB 7 system with the crossover header for a short time and it was much better then the factory setup but still not as cool as true duals plus too loud on my build.

I have not noticed an over hot problem either.  No radiant heat at all, actually.  I wrapped a section of pipe with heat wrap to prevent the dreaded hot pipe vs. skin burn on my inside lower leg.  I occasionally do a quick run to the store or somewhere in shorts, and have lived long enough to know touching leg to pipe is not desireable...   :'(

not the greatest pictures - camera phone variety - but this shows the heat wrap on my exhaust...

That's o.k.   My leg loves me for it.  I am being particularly nice to my body parts these days...  Never know when one may leave you...   :)

And I thought running without a side cover was the odd thing?

I had heat problems with my FAt Cat.  Burned my right leg twice. Maybe I'm too short, but the rear pipe just stuck out too far for me. Went back to true duals and the world is fine again. No more heat or burned legs. My riding buddy has a fat cat on a SERG, and he has burned his leg several times, but he bought his bike with it and he is not one to change much, so he deals with it. But we're in Texas also, and anything we can do to reduce heat is a good thing.

Have the pipe Cermakromed,  http://www.prokoteindy.com/prokote2_002.htm Check the process out here. Did that on MY '06 Haze with a Basanni Power Curve and it made a nice difference. Greg
