FLHR = road king

FLTR = road glide

My bike is an FLHRSE3

So it is a Road Glide that they are introducing and there is no SE Road King for 2009?

On the touring sheet they list a FLXTCUH (Road King Heritage)??????   :nixweiss:
Could this be the much anticipated/desired CVO StreetGlide?  :confused5:Har! :drink: spyder

I doubt. It it was would have come under CVO sheet and would have included SE in it. Also its mentioned in the form with a standard motor rather then 110.

What do you think would have been the right choice? The 110's and 96's are identical except for the top-end. Should they have scrapped eveything and just started over because of the 110's? They still need to maintain compatibility between the two platforms, which would mean dropping back to a 103, or pushing to the 113. Either way, it's a huge admission of problems that they are not willing to do publicly. I think their hands were tied.

:indian_chief:

I concur.  Though it is unfortunate to the '07 and '08 guys hopefully MoCo has had time to rethink and retool for 2009 110's.  My only discouraging remark is that they brag about proving grounds and deep pockets for R&D.  I think it is obvious they were forced by a marketing decision to go bigger before proving it's quality and durability.  Again I ask why Jim's motors don't have these problems!   :nixweiss:

For sure, if there were no 110's produced in '09 that is as good as admiting fault and here come the lemon laws and law suits.

It is obvious they know.  They would be COMPLETE IDIOTS to not.  Google 110's and you find PAGES!!!  For sure they watch this sight as well.

Dood, even more than the 05's were you've got the CVO Street Glide.  They just hadn't come up with the name yet.  If the Street Glide isn't the SEEG's bastard child I'm not a blue whiny bitch today.

That's essentially what I said the first time I saw a Street Glide.  I think my exact words were: "It's a poor-man's SEEG" (in a most respectful way, of course ;) ).

Oh it is, there will never be (IMO) another SEEG it will be a SESG when they do make it. If the SG was around when ours were made they would be SESG, but because the MoCo saw how well the SEEG's were liked they had to have something to get the "Draggin' Bagger" crowd so they created the SG. In all honesty I think we'll remain safe for a very long time with our bikes being "SEEG's". :2vrolijk_21:

I don't remember if it was me and you or not.  But I remember having the same chat with someone when I first saw them also.

It's apparent.  If you took a Street Glide and CVO/Pimped it up you've got a SEEG.  We just did it first and better.

All kidding aside.  And no knock intended on any of the other models.  But I personally still thing the SEEG was the CVO lines high water mark.  In terms of styling, schemes, lack of significant service issues that might actually keep you off the road and just general effectiveness of the platform the SEEGs were CVOs best effort so far.

(SERGs are a close #2 also.)

Oh no.  The new color.  The blue SERGs.  It's all a conspiracy.  I knew that was Naitram I saw doing the cameo walk-on in the X-Files rerun.

(...)

And I agree with Chief, this was the only option the Moco had, they couldn't kill a 2 year old engine & expect everyone not to notice .....

We'll, I guess everyone HAS already noticed the issues. I like to think it is a sign for a fixed engine, rather than sending out another 5k bikes with a series of warranty repairs built in.

Hard to believe they would do two Dyna's and drop the CVO Springer.  It would have made more sense to keep the Springer.  It seemed like a good seller.

Regards, Moe

I would not make too much out of the typos in the forms. Both Dyna's have the same code on the forms, one with "Fat Bob" added. The CVO Fat Bob is coming for sure. But the other "Dyna" might as well be the Springer (or another Softtail).

I vote for them to bring Street Glide instead of Road Glide. RG is not even sold in Europe. I think it will not be that popular due to designs. Will be nice to have SE StreetGlide. I think if they do it it will be a hit.
