Watch it be the california model, or european model. hopefully
Maybe that's what it is. In years past the European models have had different rear ends. :nixweiss: I was looking for a tourpak and since they didn't have one I didn't think they were the CUSE's

got bag extenders gotta be SERG

That's right.  Can't be anything but the SERG.  I thought what is apprently a reflector back there was the tailight in one of the other photos, but now it looks like they forgot to put the tailight on all but the orange ones. :huepfenlol2:

The licence plate is down low, below the LED. That upper tail light doesn't seem to belong there! Must be a hasty show model. :nixweiss:

Just seeing these for the first time now.  Was really looking forward to really liking the new Road Glide.  And parts of it I really do.  But a lot of it I'm very cool on.

At least from the limited photo the graphics on the front fender didn't grab me.  And the bird emblem on the front fairing?  It's just a simple sketch?  Nothing dramatic or powerful at all.  Very simple.  Not even a minimalist version of the old bird graphic or simply understated.  Just something simple and easy.  To me that's a very weak visual comparison to the predecessor.

And the rear.  The bags and fender extension lock you in to the exhaust.  Or at least to similar diameter exhausts.  And at least in the photos I personally am not especially taken with the fender extension.  Looks a bit Honda-ish.  The mating lines between it and the saddlebags aren't sharp.  The bags themselves aren't dramatic; just bulbous.  And don't even ask me about that cheesy reflector.

It may grow on me.  And to those that love it right off the bat congratulations.  To my personal tastes, however, it's just not the dramatic statement that it might have been.  Instead it's a stock Road Glide with a bird sketched on the nose with aftermarket copying extensions hung on the bags locking you in to never making an exhaust change.

Strictly for peoples' legs I like the new exhaust path.  That's also a look I'm sure that will come to grow on easily enough.  The functional improvement for rider and passenger comfort seem obvious though.  Just wish the looks of the rest of reached out and grabbed me.  Nothing even close to challenging the originals to me though.

Check out the difference in size between the two exhaust outlets (left much smaller than the right). :shocked2:  Is that the way the '08 were/are? :nixweiss:

It's for HDI with a flap in the right exhaust.

That may explain the tailight, then.  I wonder if the LEDs in the filler panel function as running/brake/turn signals on US models. :nixweiss:

All those seams from the filler strip/fender extension and the bag extenders is a little much back there. :nervous:

HD site in key features of std bikes says 2-1-2 is a new feature.
